RapidoStart is a free application designed to quickly launch applications, open documents, or access folders. When there is not enough space in the Apple Dock, you can use RapidoStart to stock an endless number of items! RapidoStart is also more discreet. It can be used in conjunction with the Apple Dock or as its replacement.
SIBELIUS Works fine, and is quite useful for setting up instant access to a set of related apps - but it's not as discreet as it could be.
The button that appears on the side of the screen is eminently practical but ruins the elegance of your osx. Overflow does the same job (but not for free) and, as a dock-based alternative, is both cleaner and simpler. (Version 2.1)
ORION MK. V Very nice. Intuitive and attractive and very flexible. I use RapidoStart for various documents, and use MaxMenus for my app and preferences stuff. QuickSilver's great, but a bit too invisible for me.
I'd love RS to allow for smaller icons sizes however. (Version 1.6)
BOBWEINER Works well - and I use it in conjunction with QuickSilver. I run many apps, some of which I use far more frequently than others. Those frequently used apps, I use QS to launch. Those rarely used apps (mostly utilities) that I need every few weeks or months I put into RapidoStart. Some of these I downloaded a while back but had forgotten, putting them in RapidoStart makes it easy to access them quickly. (Version 1.5)
