FARGILAN  Your system thinks you have version 1.1 installed and won't install 1.0.2 because it thinks it's 'older'. Just delete the package receipt in the Library/Receipts folder. It references an incorrect version (1.1) instead of 1.0.1.

WAMEZ  I know that Garmin's been promising Mac support for a while, but I've only been aware of them since Garmin Training Center for Mac came out. I got a Forefunner 305 a month ago and I've been nothing short of impressed. The unit itself is amazing, but the integration with the Mac has been flawless. Training Center, WebUpdater...they just work.

It helps that there are some other enterprising individuals (the developers for TrailRunner and LoadMyTracks) who have opened up the possibilities even more.

I never imagined that I'd be in the market for a GPS device for the car, but after my experience so far, I'm considering it. If you want new customers, this is the way to get them.

JIMW  While it took longer than anticipated, Garmin finally came through and honored their commitments. Congratulations Garmin. I worked just about fine updating my StreetPilot 2820 from 10.4.9 on a G5 2.5.

Only exception was that it failed to download one of the Aussie Male Voices properly from the website. But I suspect it was the file itself, since it had no problem with other voices.

Quick and easy to use overall.

Thank you Garmin. Now one less major reason to use Windows and Virtual PC.

RICH STRONG  I have been trying to update my Garmin for quite awhile. Using Windows on my Mac with nothing going right.

I just downloaded this WebUpdater and with in minutes, I was up and running with the latest software for my unit. As I've been saying since 1984; Leave it to Mac to come up with the easiest way.

This program saved me so much time and frustration. Thanks for a GREAT product.

BARRIKADY  Finally!

I tried it with a G5 dual 1.8, OSX 10.4.9, and a Garmin 60Cx.

It upgraded the software and GPS firmware, with no problems.

BTW, Garmin has also released POI Loader for Mac OSX:

JOHNNY ROCKET  Didn't find my brand new Nuvi 205 at first. Updated firmware on a windows laptop, then back over to the mac and it still didn't see it. Closed and reopened Webupdater and it's seeing it just fine now.

FRANKNS  Worked fine on my Nuvi 350.

A few moments of concern when the start up screen had multiple, tiled images, but they resolved into the usual start-up screen.

Reboot was fine, though it took quite a while to re-acquire satellites.
