DESCRIPTION
DesktopLyrics is an application that displays the lyrics of the song currently playing in "iTunes" right on your desktop. The lyrics for the song have to be set in iTunes, DesktopLyrics does nothing to fetch them if they aren't available in iTunes. If you don't want to type-in all your lyrics manually you can use an application like "Harmonic" or "GimmieSomeTune" .
WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.1.1:
  • IMPORTANT: Users of Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" have to update manually to this release since the update check has been disabled on this platform already
  • Fixed multiple issues where the page-choose-buttons would be positioned incorrectly, possibly obscuring the lyrics display
  • Fixed possible crash
  • Fixed the update-check, which would still check for updates even if disabled (sorry!)
  • Fonts unsuitable for lyrics display are filtered-out
  • Restrict font minimum and maximum size to 3 - 30 to prevent problems
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

RORO01  The application quits on launch - something that didn't happen with the previous version. iMac Intel 10.4.11

RORO01  MANY THANKS!

This is what I was looking for. The transparent window is in fact the big advantage. The developer should add "launch iTunes automatically" to Preferences to make the application even better.

NOSRAC  Very nice idea using the desktop rather than a window. Full with features (text color/font/size, multiple screen support/changing anchors)

Discard My Stability Rating because I've only been using it for a few hours ;-)
