DESCRIPTION

AllBookmarks... Don't you hate it when you can't remember where you bookmarked a website? Were you in Safari when you saved it, or Firefox? Heaven forbid you were in a browser you were just "test driving". Perhaps you were testing out Flock, bookmarked a site, and then decided Flock wasn't for you (don't flame me; I like Flock!).

AllBookmarks helps reduce the pain of searching all the browsers for that lost bookmark. By adding a new item to your Mac OS X menu bar, you have quick access to all your bookmarks. Safari, Firefox and Flock bookmarks are shown and can be selected. AllBookmarks also gives you accesses to your 1Passwd 1Click bookmarks so you can navigate to a page, fill the form, and submit it, all with a single click!

WHAT'S NEW
Version 3.1.4: Fixed a crash that could happen after upgrading to 1Password 2.9.16 or later.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 or later, Safari 2.0, Firefox 1.5+, Flock 0.7+, Camino 1.0+, OmniWeb 5.5.

FORMICA  A bit of confusion about the download -- the .dmg that is linked to here is titled "AllBookmarks-3.1.3," but upon opening it you'll find that it's really version 3.1.4.

IMHO  Since several monthes I am using All Bookmarks. And every day again I am thinking: how did I manage without this little friend? Earlier I had to spend much time to find bookmarks in the organized clutter on my Mac. Now it's always a matter of (split)seconds to retrieve a bookmark I need. This is really great and very, very helpful. Thanks very much to the developer.

RUBISCO  Pretty good app. It would be better if it supports Opera...

ALJUK  Thanks Developer Dave, it's working perfectly again. Judging by all the google traffic there's been on the FF3 issue of late, there will be a lot of happy users out there!

ALJUK  Ok, silly me! I was deluded (and now it seems like I'm having a conversation with myself on here lol...) - this does NOT work for me with FF3! New Firefox bookmarks are NOT appearing in AllBookmarks. Unfortunately this makes this otherwise excellent app useless for me.

If the developer is reading this, I'd love to know if you'll be updating the app soon to make it compatible with FF3?

DTEARE  I'm sorry for the trouble and for not checking feedback here for a while.

The 3.1 update should address the issue you had with Firefox 3.

Please let me know if you have any more issues.

Cheers!

SAJDAK70  I've got a problem to start version 3.0. Something wrong with it on my computer. I stay with Tiger 10.4.11 because I've got only 700 MHz eMac. I came back to version 2.0 of AllBookmarks. I'm sad when I don't know any clue to solve this strange behaviour.

ALJUK  Butler handles bookmarks differently to this app - it keeps them separated by browser, whereas this app aggregates them, orders them alphabetically, and opens them in your default browser as opposed to the browser in which the bookmark was set. Yes, Butler can be customised, but this app is far quicker and more useful "out of the box" for bookmark aggregation. And since Butler is soon to become a commercial app and newer versions will not be PPC compatible, AllBookmarks very much has its place. I am a big Butler fan, but AllBookmarks p***es all over it for bookmark aggregation.
