DESCRIPTION

VDMX5 was created from the ground up to meet the demands of realtime video performance. Built around a robust data processing architecture it was designed to be used with whatever hardware - or software - you've got available. VDMX is a software based, media processing environment that lets you achieve stunning effects in real time. By linking together and controlling VDMX modules, you build your own virtual video studio, which is equally adept at event production, post production and motion design.

Following in the footsteps of audio software trends, video software and hardware are now fast enough to compete with expensive hardware boxes for doing real-time SD and HD mixing and FX processing. Using your Macintosh, you can achieve astonishing results that are infinitely more flexible than dedicated hardware, for a fraction of the cost. VDMX not only saves you money on hardware, but also saves time. Because of its real time architecture and a control design which encourages creative exploration, you can count on VDMX to get better results faster than working with timelines.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 5.0pb633:
One new feature:
• Movie audio tracks now preserve their pitch on rate changes

And a couple of important crash / bug fixes:
• Fixed bug where buttons weren't restoring synch states properly in certain situations (re: "Trouble with buttons" thread)
• Fixed crash that could randomly occur when buttons were deleted in the middle of redrawing (this was probably most prevalent with text sources, hat tip to vib76)
• Fixed a crash on QC trigger when the renderer failed to initialize (for whatever reason)
• Fixed an audio analysis crash on preset restore (hat tip to bassballs)
• Fixed an occasional "pop" in the audio the first time pass-thru was turned on

As always please let us know about any problems that you run into out there and be sure to send in any crash logs.

ROCHADE  If you are a video creative you should have a look at this. It is the most flexible and advanced vj application around. You can have your interface be whatever you want. It's modular basis will support your ideas and won't limit your mind.

Even it is still beta, I never had any stability problems. Also keep in mind: there are still things being added in future versions.  (Version 5.0pb6)
