Sears allows you to edit and re-synchronize subtitles in movies.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 0.83:
  • Adding undo/Redo management for simple edit. Now when editing a subtitle directly in the table, the edit is undoable. There is some glitch when using Crtl+Z on table, it seems that line is put in edit mode.
  • Now can use save as action to save in a different format. Just enter the file using the new extension. Ex: saving Superman_101.srt to Superman_101.sub will convert your srt file to a sub file. Currently supported formats are: srt, sub and ssa
  • SSA files are generated using default sears BEGIN, KEYS and END section. If you want to customize your sections, you can simply put in your configuration files the properties:
    ssa.format.begin : This is the begin section. Set by default to
    [Script Info] ;SSA script originally generated by Sears 0.83

DROPIZE  Hello there,

carfull guy and grils, this app collapsed my all VLC sutbitiles file, it dooes'nt fix synchro bugs and i am just so angry :(:(:(:(

AKROBAT  Don't quite get it.

Downloaded and installed this app... crashes on launch. Downloaded and installed latest version of Java... tried again... crashed on launch. etc. etc.

Tried Subs Factory. Excellent. Just works.

FROMAGE-HEAD  nice but:

-no undo?

-save as give me an open dialog, and I can specify a name

FLORIAEN  Undo and redo should appear on the 0.90 version.

About the save bug it was fixed.

INYAR  I've been using several different programs on Windows to re-sync my subtitles or correct the timings and, although there're plenty of that kind of "subtitle tools", I never found one who was as easy to use and as efficient as Sears. That's not complicated, but it's really simple to use it and it works perfectly. I corrected my subtitle in 10 seconds when I needed 10 times more on Windows.
