DESCRIPTION
Garmin Training Center (GTC) is a training tool for your computer that works with your compatible Garmin fitness device.
With GTC, you can analyze and store workout data from your Garmin device on your computer, as well as plan and save future workouts.
You'll benefit from GTC in two primary ways: it helps you analyze workouts you've already completed, and it helps you plan workouts for the future. Your Garmin fitness product records an incredible amount of data from your workout or activity. Garmin Training Center saves this data and helps you review and analyze it. You can also create, save and schedule workouts and transfer them to your fitness device.
- Review your workout data, including pace/speed, distance, time, calories burned; and if available, heart rate, cadence and detailed elevation.
- View a detailed graph of your workout data in GTC, plotted over time or distance.
- View a map of your workout that shows the exact path you traveled.
- Categorize your workout history according to type of activity
- Review previous workouts, which are saved by day and week
- Create customized workouts with specific goals and rest intervals. Then send them to your fitness device.*
- Schedule workouts for a specific day with GTC's calendar.
GTC even comes with several workout templates designed by the experts at TrainingPeaks.com. TrainingPeaks provides custom training plans for beginning, intermediate and advanced athletes training for all types of events.
*Forerunner 201 cannot load workouts from GTC.

TIJNTIJN Tried on 2 macs, but keeps on crashing. I've got a forerunner 50 + USB-Ant stick. Any clue? Would love to use this program... (Version 2.1.7)

PETE-ON-THE-WEB 100 megabytes for a scree refresh problem? Good grief - I have high speed now, but 100 mb's for a minor fix? Gimme a break! (Version 2.1.6)

FREEZYJOSY TODDI is right, Garmin should license TrailRunner… (Version 2.1.5)

BLLOYD I used it for a few months on the Mac after using the PC version and it was about the same... pretty bare-bones. A friend then let me know about Ascent by Montebello software which is *fantastic* and IMO worth the $35 over this free software. I've been using it for about a year and have been nothing but pleased. (Version 2.1.1b)

TODDI Works well with my Forerunner 301. Downloads 'tracks' showing my path and heart rate data for the workout. Very good information. It's a good start, but could use some more features. Such as the ability to 'zoom in' on a portion of the workout for more detail. For example, highlight a high point on the heart rate chart and show the corresponding point on the map. Also, integrating better map data would be a huge improvement. Current map data is very sparse. Google maps or USGS maps would be great. An excellent alternative is "Trailrunner". It has a better interface, and better maps. Garmin should license Trailrunner. (Version 2.0.2)

STEFMASTER We were promised this software a year ago and now that it's here it doesn't work. I can't upload from my 301. VERY disappointing. They should just give us all Motionbased for free instead of false promises and faulty software. (Version 2.0.1)

DORKYPANTS Garmins download server sucks. After half a day I'm only 13.8 MB into the ~56 MB download and it's stalled! (Version 2.0.1)

DORKYPANTS Curious that the description says, in the "Compatible Garmin devices:" section, "ForeRunner 201 (PC only)..." There are 3rd party OS X utilities(LoadMyTracks, Link2GPS) which work just fine with my ForeRunner 201 and a no-name serial-to-USB adapter cable. (Version 2.0.1)
