DESCRIPTION

FilePathCM is a contextual menu item for copying the:

  • POSIX path
  • Server afp URL
  • Abbreviated (Tilde) POSIX path
  • POSIX path for Terminal
  • HFS path
  • Full name
  • Display name
  • Extension
  • Windows style path

of files and folders to the clipboard. Menu items can be symbolic names or show the actual clipboard contents to be pasted.

It can also be used for creating URLs from file paths, such as AFP type URLs. This is achieved using "prefixes" which are simply prepended to a URL encoded version of a POSIX path.

FilePathCM is part of the Limit Point Software "Utilities Bundle." Visit the Utilities home page at: http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html for a list of all the software available. Updates are always free, and new products always included.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 1.0.8:
  • Added a command for copying server afp URLs to the clipboard.
Version 1.0.7:
  • Multiple file and folder selection support added. When the selection consists of more than one file or folder a list of items is generated, separated by line feed characters.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

L-I-N-K  Excellent support - thank you for the update.

FilePathCM makes it a snap to copy different variations of file paths to the clipboard.

e.g. working together with windows guys will give you a convenient way to copy a path with backslash separators

I love the custom prefixes (replacing "/Volumes/xy")  (Version 1.0.7)

ENCRO  You can also enable 'Show Path Bar' in the View Menu of the Finder if you are using OS X 10.5

This will place a path bar at the bottom of the Finder Window.

If I need to obtain the POSIX path I usually just drag a file or folder into Terminal.app and copy the path from there.  (Version 1.0.5)

ARYOSANJAYA  Working fine on my MBP 10.4.10, easy and great tool since I have looking for this similiar tool, because there is no Address Bar on Finder, not like on Windows Explorer.  (Version 1.0.1)
