CHIUSYSTEMS  Hi Funderburk, thanks for letting us know about the problem. May I ask what version of OSX are you running (10.x, PPC/Intel)?

CHIUSYSTEMS  Hi Funderburk, unfortunately we have not been able to reproduce the problem you have described.

The only possible cause, according to our developers, would be your copy of OS X missing the default bc program.

If you open terminal and type "which bc" (without the quotes) it should show "/usr/bin/bc". If not, then that is the problem.

If the terminal check works, then we really don't know the problem. But as a tip, quick calculations can be done without BiM by typing "bc -l" in terminal to use the regular command line version.

FUNDERBURK  "which bc" shows "/usr/bin/bc" and I have used bc from the command line before. Is there a log file generated anywhere that I could retrieve additional information for you?

CHIUSYSTEMS  Hi Funderburk, if you go into terminal and type "cd /Applications/BiM.app/Contents/MacOS" then "./BiM" you should be able to see any errors that are printed.

You may need to replace "Applications" with where you have BiM installed.

If you can send your results to contact@chiusystems.com we'll be happy to send you a serial number for all your trouble.

Thank you for your patience with the issue.

CHIUSYSTEMS  Version 1.02 has been posted (MU may take some time to update). This version has been tested with a clean install Intel Mac and all previous crashing problems have been resolved.

All links to v1.00 and v1.01 have been re-directed to v1.02 on our website, so all downloads should link to the working version.

Please feel free to add comments if there are any problems.

CHIUSYSTEMS  Upon further investigation it appears that our testing machines had been used by some developers, therefore our testing process missed some linking bugs within the program.

We apologize for any inconvinence and can confirm that version 1.0 and 1.01 will both quit on launch. We will release a fixed version as soon as possible.

CHIUSYSTEMS  The crashing appears to be due to an error in distribution packaging. The included binary is actually for PPC only instead of Universal. I have re-uploaded the program as v1.01 for the package containing the UB version.
