ARGLBORPS  Greatest present ever! My 1st gen 1GB iPod shuffle was believed to be dead for over 3 years, this little utility has brought it back to life!

It's as if I just got an iPod for free. Thanks, thanks, thanks!  (Version 1.0.3)

PSLIEBER  Still a no-go (does not show up at all) on a 512MB, 1G shuffle w/ 1.0.2. This remains disappointing beyond words.

I'd give anything to have it simply SHOW UP as a device, on any OS.  (Version 1.0.2)

NICKSAG33K  it has been my experience that the genius bar at apple defaults to throwing it away or reformatting before they actually will fix anything. utilities easily purchased online can repair most issues you want to reformat for. why is this?

the examples of the shuffle owner being told to throw it away is a perfect example of what i'm talking about.  (Version 1.0.1)

BKKDAVE  Fantastic!

My Shuffle died six months ago while I was updating its software and would no longer respond. Took it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store, where several staffers couldn't get it to work and advised me to throw it away.

But this application quickly fixed it, and now it's working perfectly. Many thanks, Apple!  (Version 1.0)
