DESCRIPTION
AppDelete will delete the application you choose and any associated items (files and folders) that belong to that application. Now you will no longer have to hunt through your system to find these items and delete them manually. Or worse, just let them sit on your Mac forever even though the application is long gone!
To run AppDelete just drag the application or folder containing the application you want to delete onto the AppDelete icon. You can also select from the main menu, right-click an item in the Finder using the AppDelete Automator workflow, or just drop an app in the Trash. An easy way is to keep AppDelete in your dock so you can drag your app or folder containing the app onto the icon in your dock. After doing this AppDelete will search your system to find the associated items. After clicking on "Delete" these items will be moved inside of a folder in the trash named "AppDelete" with the name of the app you dragged onto the icon. You can inspect this folder if you like before emptying the trash.
AppDelete also has a "Undo" feature, the ability to "Log only" for reference, it can search for invisible or "hidden" items, and more! And AppDelete keeps a log of all processing that it does. Try it today!

TOM46 Great little app. Easy interface, unobtrusive, and does it's job quickly. Well worth the 5 bucks. (Version 2.2.2)

OILYFLUTESALAD Nice little app, but one thing I'd love to see is a feature that will automatically detect other versions of an app and ask if I want to remove those too. For example, I got AppDelete to remove Opera after it was installed with both Photoshop CS3, and Flash CS4. Adobe seem to have installed Opera without my permission in at least half a dozen places, and there are (were) a good 2-3 versions or more on my system, none of which I need nor want. Besides, why should Opera be installed with Adobe apps anyway? There's no reason for it to be bundled with any apps, since the only browser it's better than (IMO) is Internet Explorer - and since that doesn't ship on Mac we have nothing to worry about. I use Firefox on every OS, will use Safari for testing websites occasionally, but I certainly don't want Opera's junk wasting 50 megs on any hard drive of mine. (Version 2.2.2)

ROBERTCOOGAN Very nice, and very simple. Works just the same as AppZapper, but it's cheaper - so an easy decision for me. (Version 2.2.1)

FROSTBYTE I like it because it is small fast simple reliable stable and cheap. I don't care that it doesn't entertain me. I use it, don't think about it, and get on with my business! Bought it a long time ago. Haven't wanted to use anything else since. (Version 2.2.1)

XYBERNAUT I prefer AppZapper it is a staple in my dock and it works (and has worked) for quite some time. Besides the entertainment value is better, I like to zap programs. www.appzapper.com (Version 2.2.1)

ROBOTANK AppZapper is probably the worst of all theses programs. It's out of date (over 2 years since an update), overpriced, and doesn't work any better than anything else. If you like it because of the zapping sound, that's cool, but it's hardly enough to recommend it to anyone else. (Version 2.2.1)

XYBERNAUT Since when does a comment constitute a recommendation? Developer Blacklists are there for a reason. (Version 2.2.2)

RYANSEBIZ Easy-to-use yet powerful app that cleans up the crap that other apps install when you delete them. No more hunting throw your user account and Macintosh HD library folders to find random preference and plist files - AppDelete takes care of everything instantly. I did have a problem with my installation. I emailed the developer and he responded in five minutes and fixed the problem. Great support and great app. (Version 2.2)

RORO01 IMPORTANT FEATURE REQUEST What we really need is a feature to detect preference files which are not associated with any application, i.e files of applications where we have deleted the applications (before we had AppDelete) but forgot to delete their preference files. (Version 2.2)

CYBORG9 Well, I tried it but it left plenty of files behind of the app that I wanted deleted.. How do I know? I checked using EasyFind after using AppDelete. To be fair, none of the other application deleting apps always removes all an app's files. After using any of them, follow up by using EasyFind to see how efficient or inefficient they are. You can use FindAnyFile instead of EasyFind. It's as least as good. And either can be used to delete Apps and all their files reliably. (Version 2.2)

XENOPHILE Alternatively, you can skip the "deleting application" and just search for application related files using easyfind. Search for the developer name as well as the application name, and you'll usually get all the files. It also helps to know where to look for associated application files, which can vary depending on the tasks carried out by the application. (Version 2.2)
