EDITOR NOTES
Version 5.3 is currently in beta, to download the most recent stable release see 'Related Links' below.
DESCRIPTION

Floola is a freeware application to manage your iPod (any model except iPhone and iPod touch). It requires no installation and runs nicely under Mac OS X (10.3.9 or newer).

With Floola you can copy, rename, delete your music, videos and photos, add artwork and lyrics, manage playlists and keep your favorite podcasts updated. But there's a lot more, like on the fly conversion of incompatible files, support for YouTube and MySpace videos, duplicate detection and now even keep your Google calendars synched. All with one single click.

LEFTNOTRACKS  Three cryptic error messages, then the program quits immediately. Oh, one other thing it does: completely mess up music and video on the iPod, requiring a restore.

HERVĂ© 5  excellent replacement for my use of iTunes, which features dual use of the same ipod on a mac and a PC (Floola doesn't lock your iPod on a given machine) - this alone is extraordinary

It would help a bit if there were more explanations on the message you get whenever the silent "itune helper" runs in the background ("Floola can't run because iTunes runs" is misleading, should be "iTunes helper runs" or something like that, with the way of quitting it too). I understand anyway this is a macintosh port of a multiplatform application which explains this way of doing, and the app is excellent anyway :-)
