JOSEJX Mac-On-Linux is a completely different program than PearPC and predates it by many years (MOL has been around since at least 1999). Mac-On-Linux actually virtualizes the CPU instead of emulating it like PearPC. While this limits the portability of the program (it only runs on PowerPC processors) it more than makes up for that in speed since many CPU intensive applications run at near native speed. Mac-On-Mac unfortunately has been abandoned, but the current developer of MOL is currently merging those patches back into the main source tree. (Version 0.9.71.1) |
