jUploadr is a cross-platform and cross-site photo uploader.
Currently, it runs on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux, and supports both Flickr and Zooomr.
It allows you to set all properties of a photo before you upload it. It also supports batch editing, so you can make short work of uploading a bunch of files.
Chris Grindstaff found and fixed several memory leaks that affected users when they added a large number of files to the UI. He also made several improvements to the speed of things and made the about dialog flicker free. I've added him as a developer and look forward to having his input in the future. He has some really interesting ideas for improving the UI, and I can't wait to see these integrated into jUploadr.
Windows users will no doubt be most thankful to Daniel Goncalves, who has nixed the unloved command window once and for all with a slick executable. With this, jUploadr has improved its usability markedly.
GRUMPYTICO I just set jUploadr in my mother's iBook and so far it works like a charm. I like the features it has to upload all pictures as being public or private by default, drag and drop works directly from iPhoto and the fact that it resizes the images prior to upload is a definite plus.
It really does much more than uploading images to Flickr...hard to believe it is cross platform and free. Great work, I love it!! (Version 1.1.1)
