myBlog manages, publishes and uploads blogs to your web space. myBlog creates an RSS feed that accompanies the blog online for visitors to subscribe and be updated whenever new entries are uploaded to the blog.
An Inspector palette provides access to a blog’s properties, including domain login for uploading, RSS feed settings, style for text elements and navigation links. A unique graphics trimmer allows images to be positioned and cropped to masthead or icon size, saving and dropping them into an entry.
Constructs the whole blog, then uploads it. Not comparable to MarsEdit etc. I don't think this is made clear enough -- and this could be a real advantage to some. Wouldn't need Rapidweaver, say, or iWeb.
R CHARLES FLICKINGER interesting comment, as the interface and intended use of myBlog is very similar to Apple's iWeb. Actually, myBlog writes cleaner HTML and locally publishes blogs faster than iWeb. The other products you mentioned work with online blogs, which is not myBlogs intended purpose. myblog is not a webreader. (10/10/2006, Version: 1.1) (Version 1.1)
MODDE I wouldn't recommend it. The gui is far from intuitive, it lacks features. Go for marsedit, ecto or flock. Flock is a featurefull webreader which handles your flickr/photobucket account, and publishes posts to several apis. Easy to use. Free. Based on firefox. (Version 1.1)
