DESCRIPTION
DeskTunes is a very simple, very elegant way to see what’s playing in iTunes right now. It stays stuck to the bottom left corner of the Desktop, no matter what you do. It even stays put if you try and hide all of your windows with Exposé. You can also rate the currently playing song by clicking the star bar. Simple. Elegant. Tiny. Out of the way. Beautiful.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 or later, iTunes 6 or later.

SHEEPACOW  My first thought was, "wow, this looks nice". My second thought was, "How the heck do I quit this application?!".

Going into the Activity Monitor to quit is a huge dissapointment for me.

Another huge thing that's missing is the ability to move it. It sits right on top of a white part of my desktop, so I can't really see what it says.

With some improvement, this could be an absolutely amazing app, but some work needs to be done.  (Version 1.0)

SKIDOGALLARD  First of all, I love this app. It is very well designed, and I love that you can rate the songs that you are listening too. However, I would like to have to abilty to keep the song info on top of all windows, and to be able to move it around on my desktop. Also, I do now care for how much of a RAM hog it is. It is using about 22mb for me. It would be nice if it used less. Personaly, I don't see why it shouldn't use more RAM than a dashboard widget which is aprx. 1.7mb. Those are my only complaints. But I must say, this is a very beautiful app.  (Version 1.0)

MCGUFFIN  I'm glad the developer appreciates the value of minimalism and didn't try and shoehorn a bunch of unnecessary features onto it. And fading the track details when the track isn't playing looks great.

I would like the option of removing 'not playing' to make it look even cleaner though :)

    Excellent.  (Version 1.0)
