Some Chess is a pure PHP Chess server using a MySql database as a backbone. Because it uses only PHP it is accessible even to the folks without java or javascript access. Some Chess can be set up as an invite only system (the default) or as a system with an open registration. The pleasant design, pure PHP, ease of installation/update, and membership system make Some Chess unique among multi-player chess servers. I hope you enjoy it. HENRIKTEKNIK This is looking geourgeous! And it's apparently made by a Mac guy judging by the screenshots ;)
I have a question though:
I have a site that is hosted by a web host which doesn't use Apache (as far as I know). The host is one.com and my domain is run on Linux srv66, using PHP (register globals 'off' and safe mode 'on'...).
Is there any chance I might get this working on my hosted domain? (Version 2.0rc1)
There is an excellent chance that it will work with your host. I haven't tried it on svr66 system (haven't even heard of that one) with globals off, but I can't think of a reason it wouldn't work. I can't think of any reasons it wouldn't, besides the stupid typos I put in the config.php fileĀ which will be fixed very shortly.
