ICONZ113 This is an awesome app just 2 things bother me, first there is no support. If your one of those people that tend to email the developer for support or ask questions, your not going to get that here. Only thing you can do is have the website resend your serial number. Second I don't like how I cant specify the location of the downloaded file for each torrent. For example in transmission where ever I double click the .torrent file is the location where the file downloads. In Xtorrent its downloaded to the set default location you specified in system preferences, the default location is the downloads folder. Other then those two things I think Xtorrent is great. I like the searching capabilities, RSS features, and the speed. If you can deal with the cons I've listed above then go ahead and get it. (Version 1.1v53)

SCOTTYTHEBODY This is the only P2P app I have found with a decent, simple interface. However, it suffers greatly from crashes and often becomes completely unusable. I can't understand it. One day it will work fine, then for weeks on end it will never work. Occasionally, I re-install it and that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. So, in short, I wish this app were more than it is. What's more depressing is that I paid my money and then found out that the application hasn't been updated in nearly 2 years. Oooops. Fool me once... (Version 1.1v53)

BDKENNEDY1 There's really no excuse to pay for this app when there are free ones out there that are better. If it were rock solid, yeah I can see paying for it but it has never been rock solid and seems more like an occasional hobby for the developer. (Version 1.1v53)

RADD Looks pretty, searches great... ... but freezes constantly under Leopard and hasn't been updated in 19 months. I love it to death, but it may be time to move on to something that's actively supported and does the primary job of a torrent app (downloading torrents) first and foremost. I'll miss the bells and whistles, but the freeze-ups... not so much. (Version 1.1v53)

BLEE I've used this app for years now and it appears to work fine... I run it on a Mac Pro with 4GB of memory and haven't really noticed any problems. Can you be more specific about broken search? as for Memory issues I haven't noticed anything as for customer service I've only had one encounter response was quick and short I asked if supports Apples version of uPNP for routers and he responded with a simple "yes" which suffices for me. It would be nice to see some sort of update to this app but again as it is it works for me. (Version 1.1v53)

ULI STIELIKE Since Mac OS X 10.5.6 the search function seems to be broken. The integrated search was a unique selling point for XTorrent which sadly no other developer copied. Besides the broken search facility XTorrent has serious memory issues which makes it necessary to force quit the app way too often. Is XTorrent dead or will there be an update in the future? Untill the answer becomes clear look elsewhere for a (free) alternative. Great feature-set and user interface but the application suffers cathastrophically from lack of love from its developer. Customers, who bought this slightly overprized piece of software, are left in the cold. (Version 1.1v53)

EVERLAST_34 Sometimes this program works really well. For the times when it doesn't, don't bother emailing the developer. David Watanabe does not care once he has your funds in his account. Google his name. His disregard for his customers is pretty obvious. Save your cash and get some good old fashioned Limewire. (Version 1.1v53)

LUPEMORENO This has been a really terrific program for a long time now. I just recently updated to 10.5.6 and it becomes unresponsive after a few minutes of operation. Not sure what the problem is, but I look forward to the next version. If you are not using10.5.6, this is a really great program for finding and downloading files. Well worth the money. THREEDEE912 You do know this hasn't been updated in over a year? Because Xtorrent is based on the free and open source Transmission BitTorrent client, it generally cannot be updated because the Transmission developers changed the license agreement to prevent other people from profiting off of their work. Such as what Xtorrent was doing. From the Transmission team: "Portions of the code will be changed to avoid blatant attempts to profit significantly from our work" But David Watanabe keeps selling this ancient version in the hopes that some ignorant person will come along and give money to him anyway. BUMBLEB Now, I must say I don't agree with all the negative reviews Xtorrent gets. Yes the developer may be an unethical scumbag (I don't know) but the software works fine for me, and it's the only one I've found that let's me search directly from the app itself. It is not always 100% stable, but most often gets the job done, fast. I've not been rejected by many trackers, like some people fear. (Version 1.1v53)

HELLOKITTY I have OSX Tiger. I've just started using XTorrent. First, I download the music, then I transfer the folders on my desktop to their playlists. After I trash the desktop folders I find that I can't play anything. There's an exclamation mark against each one. What am I not getting? Thanks. (Version 1.1v53)

MACMELO Your iTunes preferences are probably not set to copy imported items to the library... After you check that, it should be fine (the music will be copied and then you can trash the downloaded files). One more thing: Xtorrent is the worst torrent client out there... Since you have just started using it, I would advise you to change to a better client, like Vuze, uTorrent or Transmission... (Version 1.1v53)
