DESCRIPTION

PandoraBoy... Love Pandora.com, but tired of having to run it from a web browser? Ever wish you could control pandora without even being at your computer? Well then, look no further. PandoraBoy allows you to control your music with global hotkeys or your Apple Remote. Additionally, it supports Growl notifications so that you always know what your listening to.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 0.8:
  • Dropped Tiger (10.4) support
  • Upgraded Shortcut Recorder
  • Broke French localization of Hotkey Preferences Panel
  • Turned off several chatty NSLog() messages (every song play, etc.) If anyone was using them, I'll build a more specialized interface to solve their issue.
  • Issue 69: Global hotkey to show Growl alert for current song
  • Issue 39: Global hotkeys do not work until restart
  • Rowmate support
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.5 or later.

MABOROSHI  Really like this but one thing has been bothering me.

And that one thing is that no matter what you set in the preferences, PandoraBoy always changes the volume when you use the mac remote.

This is really annoying because when I push volume up or down, both the system volume AND PandoraBoy's volume change, usually making it either way too loud or dead quiet.

MACERICG  Works for me. I like it more than PandoraMan because of the Apple remote interface built-in, plus the window of recently-played tunes is a nicer viewing option than scrolling back, back, back through the regular Pandora interface.

Besides that, for some reason PandoraMan started launching Safari whenever it was launched. Strange. I don't have any problem like that with PandoraBoy.

Would like to possibly see a mini player option like iTunes has available. I don't know if this is possible, since all these apps basically appear to be the regular Pandora player inside of a shell with added features.

MISSCLAIRETHEBEAR  I really like how PandoraBoy works, especially with the keyboard shortcuts. Unfortunately, whenever I run the program it ends up using 50% of more of my CPU on my 2.0 GHZ Macbook. :(
