DESCRIPTION
Project Calculator is a very simple tool that helps you tracking the time you work on your projects. It is meant for small projects which don't need a fully featured project management system. You can manage several projects at the same time.

You can start a timer when you begin working on a project, pause timers and stop them when finished. All timer data can be edited any time. The software also features filters, reminders using Growl, tagging of timers, flat fee entries and export to different formats (such as PDF, CSV or text).

Upgrades from version 2 are available for $9.99.

WHAT'S NEW
Version 3.2.1:

fixes:

  • Customers with empty names are not allowed anymore
  • The state of flat fee entries was not exported correctly
  • Fixed some issues with the "Show Project Calculator Window" menu command
  • Fixed wrong calculation of total budget in status bar

REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

***½.

GREGR  My computer crashed (unrelated to Proj Calc) and I lost more than two days of entries. Project Timer Pro has crash protection. This is essential.

ARVIDTP  This software keeps getting better! It is now better than what i was using before - the no-longer maintained TimeCard.

However, when i choose either text or csv export, nothing happens! no file seems to be created (i was saving to the desktop).

Also on the exported file - 'wages' might not be the best word to use if the exported sheet is being used as an invoice… But it works.

FOYAN  Well, I did not find where and how to round times, sorry.

Bad eyes ? Should that be in a new preferences pane ?

FONZO  Straight forward, easy to use. The developer is very responsive. I asked for a feature and had a beta half an hour later... Great!

M2ATMAC  Nice app. Yet I'd use it just for logging consulting hours.

It would be nice if this app followed the Scrum Management ideas. So this way we could have a better use not just for logging hours, but to really manage projects and get a team to interact in order to get the job done faster.

PS: ScrumWorks gets the job done, but it is written in Java. In other words, it's somewhat cumbersome.

CHRISTOPH3  Nice idea. Would be perfect for the type of work that I do. Currently I use a journal logger but this seems more tailored for consulting work. Date range is still goofy. Ending date range toggles between 10 and 11 and I cannot change PM to AM.
