SCHOSCHIE  I don't know about FLAC, but it definitely runs on Tiger and it does split tracks as well. I've used it like that for at least a year. There must be something wrong with your system set-upÂ… or maybe the latest version is brokenÂ…

SCHOSCHIE  Great app, but after I upgraded to Snow Leopard, FStream now takes up to several minutes to connect to a station. Before, it was almost instantaneous. Have no idea why. It's quite irritating when switching stations to see what's on.

CHAOTICPIXEL  Am I the only one that just gets load static when I upgrade? My 1.4.2 works flawlessly, but when I upgrade, no matter the station, I get load static.

LOVE THE APP BTW!! Yes, Snowtape is REALLY COOL, but this one is completely free and awesomely functional.

GUNNI  Where are you getting version 1.4.3?

Also, version 1.4.2 will not work with Snow Leopard.

Hope they come out with a version that does.

SATCOMER  Tried the 1.4.2 version in the Snow Leopard latest beta and it doesn't launch. I sure hope it gets updated because it is my favorite web radio program because of it's very low bandwidth use.

D-POINT.ORG  FStream is a awsome app !

BTW : iPhone version on dev site

but you are not able to cut the files, has no “Overlapped Recording”, has no Get Album Artwork, has no 1-Click Export to iTunes, and it will not detect tracks.

Snowtape will save you many hours of work, i did a direct comparison, and it was way faster and nicer to work. really mac like !

Download Snowtape for Mac - Record internet radio stations. http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/31094

DOM21  I'm sure this is not FStream's fault but would appreciate any advice: I can't get FStream out of "Status: Disconnected" mode. What needs to be activated or checked?

AVIDMCUSER  Missing some key features. Does not seem to separate mp3 tracks. Does not seem to separate tracks and then add proper tagging. Does not seem to give the ability to automatically record at original streams bitrates. etc.

I am sticking with StreamRipperX (GPL) before it became RadioLover.

*** ...and it took me forever but i found a compiled universal binary for it!!!

its the only link i could find of a universal binary. cheers.

MARIVAUX  Y'know, people, you can download this from the developer's site with no problems...

It's a super-good program for listening to radio streams. All of the necessary features, non of the uneccesary ones, and very good at connecting to multiple streams. If it could parse realaudio it would be perfect, but overall it's much better for radio than, say, VLC, which has an impossibly clunky media library and tends to crash.
