DESCRIPTION
WingNuts 2 takes you on a fantastic journey to over 30 real, (and not so real), locations and time periods as you hunt Baron Von Schtopwatch and the mysterious "Raina".
Play through time as you encounter enemies from the 1920s into the distant future. With over 100 real world aircraft, helicopters, blimps, tanks, ships and submarines, you'll never run out of things to shoot!
WingNuts 2 is a showcase for the graphics power of the Mac. Utilizing spectacular OpenGL particles and CoreImage time dilation effects, the game provides over 30 levels of aerial excitement. Upgrade your plane with more powerful weapons and capture wild power-ups like "Super Mecha-Mode" and "Escort Wing" to defeat the Baron's terrifying robotic bosses.
The long-awaited sequel to "WingNuts: Temporal Naviagator" (5-Mice/Game Hall of Fame, Macworld 2002), WingNuts 2 takes all of the action and wacky humor of the original and adds a compelling new story, gorgeous graphics, and tons of gameplay enhancements to achieve a whole new level of excitement.
JOI Delightful game, a true classic. The detail that went into each and every aircraft shows a true appreciation for vintage and modern aircraft design.
I sometimes just play to see the aircraft themselves in the game. Me262, FW109s, etc...
Truly an enjoyable game, one you will have fond memories of as well as always keep a copy on your computer. (Version 2.0.4)
CORVUS32 The demo doesn't work on my 15" Powerbook.
When I launch the app, it simply asks to Purchase by Phone, Purchase on the Web, or Purchase Later. If I click Purchase by Phone, a window pops up giving a number to call. If I click Purchase on the Web, my browser opens to their store front. If I click Purchase Later, it hangs and I have to force quit the app to close it. (Version 2.0.4)
SHADOWGROOVE This game rocks! I am truly impressed with the quality of this game. My only beef is that it gets insanely difficult in the later stages. (Version 2.0.4)
GRAPHIC_INNOVATIONS This game IS well worth the price. The graphics are top notch for this style of game. The particle effects are outstanding, characters are hilarious, the plot is very cute, and the gameplay very addicting. I bought the first game in the series a few years ago and bought this one right away after playing the demo. Kepp up the GREAT work Freeverse! (Version 2.0.4)
HSHIN Basically a homage to the video game that guzzled up pocket change like mad during the 80s--a game widely known as "1941". http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=0&game_id=6765
Here the graphics isn't nearly as captivating as one would like, to put it mildly. It's limited to the retro top-down flat world view. This should appeal to straight-up shoot-em-uppers who never tire of such games. It's good for what it is, but not for this price. (Version 1.0.3)
VEGGIEDUDE A very cool game. The only wish is that it was $10 cheaper - $30 seems a bit too steep. Still, I will probably pay to get all the levels, just not right away. (Version 1.0.3)
