DESCRIPTION
PopCopy is a revolutionary way of copying and pasting using hotkeys and the menu bar. It aims to fix the issue of overlapping clipboard contents. Any images, text, or files you copy into the clipboard will go into the MenuBar. You can pull these back up by choosing it in the MenuBar, or with a hotkey combination you choose yourself. See the video.

GLOBETROTTERDK  Seems like the developer's site has disappeared.

CERNIUK  Does exactly what I need, carries multiple clipboards and makes them transparent and seamless to access via simple keyboard commands. The ability to scroll visually thru them, outstanding.

Could do it better in some minor ways... would like a limit to the clipboards (say 20) to keep the storage file from getting too big for example.

I paid for this, got my serial number and cannot find it. I managed to dig thru an old backup and found the pref's file. Copying that into my new system and I am back in business. It really sucked being without PopCopy2 and it will happen again when this unsupported orphaned product becomes incompatible with the OS under 10.6 or 10.7 etc.

The developer must have been hit by a truck. Not a single response to emails. Is a shame. If it is not going to be supported, the developer should put the working project into source forge and declare it open source.

JOYPEBBLE  Got it free from MacWorld giveaway. I can use such a program but there's no way to register it. The developer site's nonexistent.

Also, during the trial period, every five copies and it throws up a nagging "buy me" screen. Hey, I would if there was a way.

PopCopy runs fine on the iMac but will not mount on my G4 iBook with OS X 10.4xx If that isn't enough, it won't trash because it's running but where?? It doesn't show on the drive and won't quit.

MACUPDATE ADMIN  Found this developer's email address in the PopCopy download:

globoamericano@gmail.com

Give it a shot, maybe it is still a working address.

LUX  Since upgrading to Leopard I've been looking for a compatible clipboard utility (iSnip keeps crashing in Leopard), so I tried to buy a PopCopy registration key without success. There doesn't appear to be a PopCopy webiste or demo video either.

FROMAGE-HEAD  JumpCut can only copy text. PopCopy 2.3 does more, read the description, watch the vidéo. Anyway i prefer iSnip.

NEDDY56456  Why should I pay for something when there is a FREEWARE app available which does the same: JUMPCUT!

MOUSEMANTP  I like this program, but there are some pastes that I use repetitively, and I would like to see a provision for permanent entries that don't move when new entries are added. The provision for deleting a selected entry is useful.

MACSTERDAM  This looks very promising indeed. I do have a few wishes though:

1) A preference setting that allows me to show more than 3 previews in the floating preview window (have a look at F10 launch studio or Exposé even!)

2) Allow setting the thumbnail size of the floating preview window.

3) More preview file-support (f.i. bmp etc)

Otherwise no complaints. Personally I think $14 is fair enough, but $ 9.99 my have a more positive psychological effect on potential buyers.

Keep up the good work.

LEOOFBORG  I hate to say this, but this really looks like a dumbed down version of Koolclip.

$12 is not miniscule for what looks like a one-trick pony.

Also the 'insta-5star' review posted here is suspect.

Me? Sorry, I'll stick with Butler. Unicode savvy clipboard buffer, iTunes remote, much more. And again _DONATION_ware.

DALSHAR  PopCopy is the first really usable clipboard extending utility I have used and certainly worth the miniscule shareware fee.

Having older clipboard contents available and the last copy always visible is a huge boost to productivity.

The only improvement I can think of would be the ability to select items to clear in addition to the present choice to clear all but one clip.

I have tried CopyPaste and found that the implementation was awkward, for me, although I know some users find it OK
