    ****.

SAGO  After a really bad experience with Xlite-2 and worst Xlite-3, I tried Xmeeting and it works perfectly for a SIP connection.

I wonder why on skypho.net they don't suggest the use of this application instead of X-lite.

    thanks.

I gave 4 stars on "main rating" because of the interface, that looks a bit dispersive with all the detached panels, I think that drawers would be lots better.

JIBBE  Agree with the last comment : the main-window is not resizeable and the textbox in main-window for selecting numbers is too small.

When this app' will become scriptable, it will be a true bomb !

Works great with the french ISP Free. Love it

CBX322  This is the best VoIP-SIP client:

    pro:

    • very good sound-quality

    • super easy to use

    • no bloated software

    con:

    • the main-window is not resizeable

    • the textbox in main-window for selecting numbers is too small

I would give it a 5-star ranking, if the main-window would resizeable / larger.

APPLECRYPT MODS  unless we stopped the apple firewall then both of our lan macs wouldn't be able to chat to each other. When firewall running (with correct tcp/udp ports open) then we got nothing.... :?

    CYBERDOG  C'est le plus simple.

30 secondes en suivant l'assistant de paramètres.

    10 secondes après cela fonctionne.

    Bravo.

et natif en plus sur mon G5 et Mactel.

JEROFONT  A perfect software in order to use one's computer as a phone thanks to SIP. Customers of the French ISP Free like me will be able to use this app to call or receive calls from their freebox directly on their mac, at home or at any location with an internet connection, and this for free.

However I couldn't figure out a way to store contacts with the phone numbers of the friends I usually call.

But this software has a great potential and is open source and runs natively on any intel-mac. What do you want more? For me it really is worth a try and it overall earns a 5 stars rating.

KDKADE  I have this program (xmeeting 0.3) but so far I have not been able to succesfully recieve calls. I have had friends try to call my ip address from video phones, but my computer does not register the incoming call even if I have the xmeeting program open.

    Any suggestions?
