DESCRIPTION
1Password is a password manager that uniquely brings you both security and convenience. It is the only program that provides anti-phishing protection and goes beyond password management by adding web form filling and automatic strong password generation. All your confidential information, including passwords, identities, and credit cards, is kept secure in one secure place using a highly encrypted keychain.
1Password fully supports most web browsers, including Safari, Camino, OmniWeb, DEVONagent, Firefox, Flock, Fluid, and NetNewsWire. All browser extensions share the data stored in the keychain which means you never need to manually copy your passwords between browsers or from the password manager to a browser ever again!
1Password has received numerous awards, including 4.5 mice from Macworld magazine, MacLife Editors pick, and was the Pick of Week on MacBreak Weekly by both Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann.
1Password also has a companion iPhone/iPod touch application available in iTunes App Store.

KOMTOM Just works everywhere! On may Macs (synced with the wonderful Dropbox), my iPhone and, in case of "emergency", on any Website. As Chiefted, I am also not "crazy about the "locking safe door" UI that you are first show when launching the program but since I use this from all of my web browsers I hardly see it." All in all: 1Password is a must have!! (Version 3.0.0)

STILL_SPARKLING Is there an option to go back to the previous version's 2 column view? I've been using the v3 beta for a few months, but I just can't get used to the new interface. It's too busy for my tastes and actually slows me down. I find myself having to stop and read more in v3, rather than quickly scanning the info to get what I need. Also, when editing info in the Logins field, I prefer v2's method of keeping everything in one column under the website/username, as it was faster and easier to just tab through when I needed to change something. V3 makes you mouse over to the third column, click edit, and then tab through; it disrupts the flow. I'd also like to see an option to turn off Tags, Notes, and Attachments in the Logins section since it's not something that I use. I love it in the Software section, but not in Logins. Obviously a lot of time and development went into updating the interface and I appreciate the effort, but it's not my cup of tea. It's just too visually busy. Overall though, v3 is a marked improvement and well-worth the upgrade price. Customer service at Agile continues to be amazing and I'm extremely happy with the app. (Version 3.0.0)

CHIEFTED Pretty much the Gold standard for password/secure note/identity saving. I think someone wrote that there is 1Password and then there is everything else. The upgrade to V3 is great. I love the 1password anywhere feature. Not crazy about the "locking safe door" UI that you are first show when launching the program but since I use this from all of my web browsers I hardly see it. The new syncing feature, using Dropbox works like a champ and with the iPhone version of the software I am set to go anywhere. For stability; even the beta builds of this (was an early users since I was beta testing 10.6 for a while due to a work project) where stable and never had any real problems with it. In true mac fashion, "it just works" (Version 3.0.0)

ODYSSEUS Watch out for 1Password 3.0.0 under *Leopard* (i.e.10.5). Soon after installing it, it basically froze my system, and I narrowly avoided a forced shutdown. (Version 3.0.0)

THUS.SPAKE.Z Possibly something amiss on your Mac? 1Password v3 works just fine on my MacBook Pro Intel core 2 duo w/ Leopard 10.5.8. (Version 3.0.0)

ODYSSEUS It appears to have been caused by a freaky keychain problem that Roustem pointed out, so I'm sorry to have suggested that the problem lay with 1Password. (Version 3.0.0)

ODYSSEUS Actually, I take it back. There does seem to be a major bug (experienced by some) that causes 1Password3 to consume vast amounts of memory (thus causing a general slowdown to due to vm paging) as it continually reloads its data. If you see many dataFolderChanged messages in your system log, you'll know that you've been bitten. (Version 3.0.0)

MRJW34 Still a must have app. V3 has some clunky UI things, but works great. (Version 3.0.0)

LEOOFBORG Whatchu talkin' 'bout Richard? ;-) 1Password3 works GREAT with Snow Leopard. No more Input Managers, works out of the box with current cutting edge Camino2 and Firefox3.5, even WebKit nightly builds. Seriously folks.. stop using the Keychain and turn off password saving in all of your browsers [except Chromium, but I expect that to change soon]. 1P2 was very good, 1P3 is a worthy upgrade. I've been using it since it went beta as a 1P2 user. 1P is one of the few apps that I will upgrade without hesitation, over any other 'beta' app. The devs really know their stuff and are VERY supportive of their users. If you're having a problem drop them a line. One of the few apps I can really give solid 5's to... highly recommended. (Version 3.0.0)

FELIX01 I have no idea where you heard that 1Password 3 doesn't work with Snow Leopard but remove the site that claimed that from your bookmarks and never go back again. The site can't be trusted! I use 1Password 3.0.0 (BETA87) daily with OS 10.6.2 and it works perfectly. (Version 3.0.0)
