DESCRIPTION
1Password is a password manager that uniquely brings you both security and convenience. It is the only program that provides anti-phishing protection and goes beyond password management by adding web form filling and automatic strong password generation. All your confidential information, including passwords, identities, and credit cards, is kept secure in one secure place using a highly encrypted keychain.
1Password fully supports most web browsers, including Safari, Camino, OmniWeb, DEVONagent, Firefox, Flock, Fluid, and NetNewsWire. All browser extensions share the data stored in the keychain which means you never need to manually copy your passwords between browsers or from the password manager to a browser ever again!
1Password has received numerous awards, including 4.5 mice from Macworld magazine, MacLife Editors pick, and was the Pick of Week on MacBreak Weekly by both Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann.
1Password also has a companion iPhone/iPod touch application available in iTunes App Store.

FPAYNE This is one of the most useful pieces of software I have ever bought. Instead of using the same password over and over again for many sites it will generate random high security passwords for any website which requires you to log in. All you need remember is the master password. It has a simple interface and is very easy to use. The defining quality though has to be the support. It is superb. My problem was quickly identified and resolved. Other software vendors should take note. This is what customer support should be like. (Version 3.0.0.BETA)

SAJDAK70 1Password 3.0 is not for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. It runs only in Leopard and Snow Leopard. Information by MacUpdate about "REQUIREMENTS: * Mac OS X 10.4 or later" is not correct. The right one is: Mac OS X 10.5 or later. Thanks! (Version 3.0.0b79)

T-REX Config : MacBook 2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 10.5.6 + Safari 3.2.1 + SafariStand 3.1L162 + SafariTabs 0.6.2 (Tab undo support) and 1Password 2.11.1 Apparently there is a major conflict between SafariStand and 1Password leading to problematic displaying of the 1password browser extension button in Safari toolbar as multiple Windows reopen at launch (SS) leads to multiple 1Password button in the toolbar. Deselect this option in SafariStand setting (Restore Method at Launch=Nothing) and let SafariTabs control this parameter (When Safari Launches = Automatically open saved Tabs) and you override that issue. DTEARE Thanks for the tip! I'm not exactly sure why the multiple buttons appear as we check for that scenario, but next time I am in that code I'll see if we can find a way to play nicer with SafariStand. Co-author of 1Password (Version 3.0.0b79)

DTEARE Thank you for the suggestion. We have looked at Chrome and have found that it does things completely differently than Firefox and Safari, so it will take some time to add support. The good news is it looks like we can provide at least a subset of 1Password's features in Chrome, so with any luck, a future release of 1Password will have Chrome support. With that said, we are busy on 1Password 3 at the moment. Once we get 1Password 3 released and things calm down, we will be excited to investigate Chrome further. Luckily Chrome is still not officially released, so we still have some time :) Co-author of 1Password (Version 3.0.0b79)

MATTETH 1password has been a must have for me for a few years, and I have been happy with it. For long I just used it forgot it, just as one should with a utility. 1p has very active developers, which of course is a good thing. The downside is that they choose to update the application very often, causing it to throw alerts on updates all the time. As for version 3, I'm afraid it will be even more "A Big Application". I personally think it should be a utility. Lean and good. Just work. Developers: you're the best. But don't overdo it. Keep updating 1Password when necessary - and get to work on your next big thing :) (Version 2.11.1)

JACQUES P. Coupled with DropBox, this is an incredible multi-Mac multi-iPhone solution for all security needs. Genuinley helpful! The beta of version 3 is fantastic and fully Snow Leopard / 64 bit savvy. Support is impeccable, they certainly deserve every dime. Nothing's perfect, but these folks really listen and grow. PS - I hope these developers are working on other projects, I'd love to see them introduce other products. (Version 2.11.1)

IMASTERING I've been using 1Password for a few years. It's been a dream software and has always worked A+. Lately the last update became corrupt during download. I noticed it was an issue of my internet provider. There was a glitch during the download process, however I did not think it would affect the update. I went ahead and did the update anyway. The update did not work as expected since it was corrupted. I was in the middle of a critical situation, needing access to several important passwords to employers. In less than 24 hrs their Chief Evangelist had sent me an email with detailed instructions as to how to fix the problem. I am a Mac specialist serving the pro-audio industry. I generally fix my own problems but did not want to risk loosing my passwords out of ego. The problem was fixed and there was even a follow up! It reminded me of my own private practice. If you are a project studio owner, or you are the Grammy guy... you will get a call or email from me within that period of time. Thanks you guys at 1Password! (Version 2.11)

ALKOFOX If there is one must have application for the mac this is it. I have tried all sorts of password managers out there till I discovered this gem one day. The interface is extremely easy to use and the features are just right, not to many and all the ones you would need (at least for me). Now with the announcement of 1Password 3 and the 1PasswordAnywhere feature it gets even more useful for people who use macs and PC's. The customer support is the best I have ever seen, I had a question that I asked on a Saturday and I got a response on a Sunday. How many companies have customer support like that? I will be recommending this application to others for sure. EDIT: Sentences corrected MacUpdate please add an edit post button. (Version 2.11)
