The original Timer started as an oven timer. Often, I'd be working on a new program or surfing the web and have something in the oven. So I cobbled together Timer in my spare time in Applescript Studio. That simple timer turned out to be surprisingly popular!
As time went on, I found I wanted something to let me sleep to my iTunes playlists and then shut off iTunes. Similarly, I thought it would be nice to wake to my music. So I expanded Timer to accommodate those changes, and Timer II was born.
JCRAIG Using this on a laptop, I'd make a couple of suggestions. The voices are cool, but could easily not be heard through a laptop's speakers. Maybe use some sort of beep alarm to be more easily heard. Also, I'd make the timer jump to the front upon expiration so as to get the user's attention. The old Pizza Timer app did this nicely. I might even suggest something as attention grabbing as the alarm/flashing screen a la iAlertU. Nonetheless, a very useful application. (Version 1.2)
MISHA Does what it says (not hard to do), but is really quite basic. Only one timer at a time and the timer alert MUST be a rather annoying voice that says "The timer has finished." over and oer again. It would be nice to have multiple timers and be able to select alert sounds... a nicer icon wouldn't be a bad touch, either.
If you want a FREE timer, I think Timer Utility is better:
