MISHA  Thanks for pointing that out, it looks like the developer changed the link at some point. We've fixed it.

STRIDER72  There's a similar app out there that has an interface that looks exactly like iTunes (thus, zero learning curve).

Does anyone know what the name of that program is?

PETER SVENSSON  The software nettunes is remote controlling over a network, with either a full copy of the itunes GUI, or just a little three-button interface.

JOZGTA  Learning curve? This thing is so easy to use, there is no learning curve - or at least it is not steep. ;-)

Very nice app. Big thanks to the developer.

JAMES HUSTON  Sounds like you didn't turn on remote apple events on the computer iTunes runs on.

XSMURF  Very nice little app. I used to have a little shell script for doing just what this does but this is even nicer :) Now you need growl support and that sort of fancy things ;D so you get 4 for features just cause there is always place for more.

Honestly the interface could be polished, but heh the joy of osx, I did myself hehe

here's my "improved" (to my tastes at least) UI. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g288/xsmurf_photosster/iTRC.png

It is definitely not as small, but I like it better that way

JAMES HUSTON  1.4 will have a worked over UI that borrows heavily from the above while being more compact.

ELEVATORIUM  A dynamite app! Why hasn't anyone thought of this sooner? My eMac is in charge of pumping out my music through an iMic to my stereo, and being able to work with iTunes remotely with this is extremely ideal.

And yes, I like the "useless" progress bar, hehe.

Two requests, if I may? Make the progress bar a lil' more appealing to the eye, and please be able to parse stream info., then I'd be so set, it's unbelievable!

MONDELE  Someone did think of this before: iHam on iRye. I haven't used this remote control program, so I won't compare their functionality, etc. But it's been done...

GCOGHILL  Although I have not used iHoR, it seems another one of those programs that require a client & server app to be running. What's great about iTRC is that it works on it's own.

Not sure what other features iHoR might have as it seems to no longer be developed.

There are a few other iTunes remote apps out there as well, but again require client server apps, or all sorts of time consuming database synchs, or unweildly interfaces etc.

I like iTRC because it's small and it just works out fo the box.

GCOGHILL  These new features, especially the ratings, and the improved stability make this an officially killer app.

AHKNIGHT  Small window that hides in the corner of the screen, remote AppleEvents to the other machine running iTunes, and nothing to install on the "server." Slick and simple, I love it.

It loads your playlists and lets you pick the tracks if you desire. Volume slider and all.

Just remember to turn on remote apple events on the other computer for this to work.

I was going to write something like this and, lo, there it is. Good job, dev. :)
