LEO REVZIN  Regarding the previous post: just wanted to thank the BatchOutput users for putting the facts straight. Obviously, Automator cannot do even a small fraction of what BatchOutput does.

BEIGE  The people writing negative reviews saying that this app does nothing that Indesign doesn't obviously don't work with PDFs in a professional publishing environment. I do - I'm an art director of a magazine that sends PDFs to our prepress house and this software has saved us a lot of time simply because: it exports to single-page PDFs (which Indesign doesn't and our online prepress system requires them in single pages) AND it lets you strictly specify the naming of those pages so it conforms to the requirements of that prepress system. Before discovering this app, we had to do separate the PDFs and manually rename them, which was time consuming. I do think that this program is slightly overpriced but it is still invaluable for our publications.

JQMUSICMAN  Zevrix Solutions has created a great app here that fills a missing gap in InDesign. I was seeking a tool that would help me in a very specific situation when I found Batch Output. It saved me enough time the first use to justify the cost. I've since found this versatile and powerful for many situations. Also, I sent a feature request to the dev and got a personal reply within about a day offering what I took as a genuine "thank you". That's a first for me. If you're looking for a solid app that offers total control of your InDesign output, I'm betting this will work for you.
