DESCRIPTION
iWebSites allows iWeb users to create distinct websites that are independent of each other, instead of in one giant file (which iWeb does automatically). Furthermore, these independent websites can be published to separate folders for independent uploading with an FTP program.
  • Allows users to create "blank" websites for use in iWeb
  • Allows users to set a default website to use when iWeb opens
  • Allows users to delete and duplicate iWeb site files
  • Allows users to merge two iWeb sites together
  • Allows users to drag/drop or copy/paste ".sites" or ".sites.zip" files to the finder or to an e-mail program.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 2.4 beta:
  • Fixed a problem whereby the incorrect site would load in iWeb.
  • Disabled the "Merge" button for iWeb 1.1
  • Clarified the "Upgrade to iWeb '08" function
  • Added the "File-->Upgrade to iWeb '08" menu for French localization.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

TOFERGREGG  Yes, it seems that there is still a problem for some users. It normally works if you double-click on the site name _twice_, and you close iWeb between each click.

TEXASSTAR7  We just downloaded the software and ran it and now all my four iWeb sites are completely gone!!! We've never had this kind of thing happen and we've been using iWeb and helper applications for three years to maintain four different domains. The application opened and gave the option of new site. Confused, we closed the application and relaunched iWeb to find all our domains gone. What happened?

TOFERGREGG  Hi there -- I am sorry to hear of your troubles. Please email me at tofer@mistergregg.com and I can help you troubleshoot the problem. It should be a simple fix, and I doubt your websites are gone.

SUPERADAM25  This seems to work as it advertises. Since iWeb came out in 2006 and it's 2007 now, I don't think that you could have been using it for 3 years.

KERRALA  Confused.

In iWeb it has a "New Site" command. When I collect this new site I can do so to another folder.

Don't understand this "one large file comment"

DONTFORGETMARIO  so far it does exactly what is says in the can. Very easy to use and most important, it makes my life a whole bit easier, and that all for a small donation...

Respect to the comment below: before trying new applications BACKUP your sensible data to protect yourself from those unconfortable situations, just an advise.

cheers

BEN_MARKO  This would be a great little piece of software if it weren't for the fact that once you split a domain file, you can't merge the two parts back together again. One would think this sort of functionality would be included with this sort of application, but the developer seems to have left it out(?). Not sure why - it has now left me unable to publish my family's site at all, as my original backup of my domain file causes iWeb to crash when I try to load it (on two different Macs).

I would recommend steering away from this application until such a feeature was included.

CAVANAUGHPHOTO  Great stuff! This little app makes up for a huge shortcoming in iWeb. I have two iWebsites. one that I upload to my .Mac account and one that I upload to another hosting provider. Uploading both sites to .Mac seemed to be so redundant and was frustrating. iWebsites lets me put my sites where I want. Thanks for such a great app!
