DESCRIPTION

Mailbox Manager is a utility to remote-check in one go one or several POP3 Mailboxes (i.e. Mailboxes you access through Emailer applications such as Mail, Thunderbird, Eudora and the like, or through a browser) and fully manage their messages (inspect, delete, answer/forward/redirect etc.) before downloading them.

  • Mailbox: it is possible to get the list of all its messages or a selection of them (ex. the last five messages, or messages from 7 to 11); and if you leave copy of them on the server, you can retrieve only the last (new) ones.
  • Messages: of each message you can view its partial or full content; and when necessary, the message can be answered/redirected/forwarded. Its attachments too can be inspected and downloaded to disk. Should you find any undesired message, you have the option to mark it as SPAM and to delete it.
  • Databases: the SPAM database offers criteria to mark as SPAM incoming messages; while the White List database holds the addresses of friendly mails that --when checking mail-- will be marked as such.
  • Quitting Mailbox Manager, your Emailer application can be automatically launched to retrieve the remaining messages (or your browser may automatically connect to a site supporting Mail OnLine).
  • Scheduled mail-checking supported.

THAMESMAN  This programme needs some serious work doing to it before I buy it. A great guy in Holland developed POPmonitor which is what I have always used. It had a great filter system which you could customise. The front end was uncluttered and simple.

Mailbox Manager needs to go a long way before I replace POPmonitor.

JORIS VERVUURT  Hello AsramSoftware,

I dislike the current user interface of Mailbox Manager.

So, I decided to create anew more Apple-like user interface.

I couldn't find an emailaddress, only a form on the website.

Since I submitted that form, I haven't heard from you.

Please contact me at jorisvervuurt@planet.nl so I can send the new project files of the user interface I created.

Best regards,

Joris

RPCOHEN  This is a great utility for managing POP3 mailboxes. In addition to producing a listing of all the items in a mailbox, it can also be setup to retrieve a set number of lines from the beginning each message so they can be easily reviewed while still on the server. In addition, individual or groups of messages can be marked for deletion without downloading them. The author is extremely responsive to requests and concerns and is actively improving and expanding the features and capabilities of the program. If you have a need to manage or troubleshoot one or more POP3 accounts then purchasing Mailbox Manager for $10 will be money well spent.

PABLO.FITBERG  Mhh... an unkown application, downloaded from the web, that can have my IP (because I entered in their site to download it) and...

ASK MY PASSWORD ???!!

Sorry guys... I quit...

Tip: Before put it, I entered in their website. When I return to the app., it functions without the need of my password... But anyway... I dont like it. I deleted.

I propose to the authors, eliminate the password need.

GOUDKAMP  The password is your OSX account password, not the registration password.

Anyway, the interface is not very OSX like but it does what it needs to do just fine.
