SIMONM  Lineform handles svg importing quite well, but it's useability and intuitiveness are quite poor in my opinion. Particularly working with layers, the symbolisation in the layers window, isolation mode etc are all quite confusing. Selecting a layer doesn't select it in the editor. Also, there is no way to specify a canvas size in pixels. I wish the speed and SVG capability could marry with the useability, layout and intuitiveness of DrawIt...Unfortunately there is no lite vector editor that fulfills all these at the moment...  (Version 1.5)

JTEAM  With Canvas now orphaned on OS X, I have been testing Intaglio and Lineform to use with Pages as a substitute.

So far, Intaglio is the clear winner, particularly in its ability to deal with imported pdfs (critical as this is the way I need to get old Canvas data out). Lineform chokes on mine (causing both cores to run to 100% for minutes before I give up), whereas Intaglio brings them in, lets you ungroup and get on your way.

I really, really want to like Lineform because the interface is nice but until their parsing pdf routines become more robust, I am going to have to pass.

Maybe in the next version.  (Version 1.3.2)

JUSTIND  If your demo period of Lineform has run out, please contact us at support@freeverse.com for a quick fix!

We'll be changing things around in the near future to alleviate the demo time issue. =)  (Version 1.3)
