DESCRIPTION
Quiz Press makes it painless to create tests and quizzes, and distribute them in print, over the web, for the iPod, or to other testing systems. Quizzes can include six different question types (Multiple Choice, Fill in the Blanks, Short Answer, True or False, Essay, and Cloze*), and also allows for fully customizable titles. Web quizzes are delivered in Flash, so they are fun to use and cross-platform. They can be easily published as stand-alone pages or embedded within other web content, and on any website, including .Mac. The quizzes can also be printed for conventional testing.
Quiz Press was designed to be easy to use from the ground up. For example, to add a fill in the blank question simply type a sentence or paragraph, click the word(s) you want to make blank and press a button. Don't want to use the mouse? No problem, we've designed Quiz Press so that you can do all of the steps needed to create a test with your hands firmly planted on the keyboard. Experiment to your heart's content; you can't make a mistake, with our unlimited Undo and Redo system, we've got you covered.
Making a web based quiz is as easy as pressing a button. Quiz Press automatically commands your web browser to let you experiment with your quiz. When you are ready to publish to the web it's just as easy. Just pick a name and place to save on your hard drive and then drag your quiz to your FTP site or .Mac iDisk.
*A cloze is a "fill-in-the-blanks" activity where the learner uses a word bank to complete the sentence or paragraph.

IHATEMATHDOTCOM Great application, I love that you can run it in Windows and Mac. I have been looking for months for an application affordable and functional like Quiz press. I spent a lot of money on other applications that required monthly fees and programing codes. Moreover, the students love it...you will not regret buying this software (Version 2.5.2)

FRANKP This app is great for developing web-based quizzes. I've used it to enhance my on-line courses with mini-quizzes that the students take. The results are immediately e-mailed back to me. (Version 2.4.7)

ILIAST I would like to buy and use this product but I can't pay 50$ as it is now. I want to write math tests but how can I do it if I can't use at least 2 icons ? Every math expression is a picture. Not to mention that it's not that good to have a question and the math expressions in different windows ! It simply doens't work. I've been watching this product for so many months. But unfortunately they don't seem to fix it. Too bad. It would have been a great tool for me (Version 2.4.3)

SATYRICA I *want* to use this in my classroom, but the limited print-ability makes this almost worthless. A 60 question test takes 8 pages to print, cannot configure multiple (2) columns per page? why? The first question is printed in the far upper left of the page, and when stapled, obscures it entirely. I can't believe this was developed or tested by a teacher as the functions that we need are NOT present... (Version 2.1.3)

CORTIS CLARK I would like to point out that you can avoid one of the problems you are having (the one about the stapler) by changing the print margins. You set these up in the Page Setup Create a custom paper type Set the margins on that page accordingly. select that paper type as what you want to use.. Print the document. We have noted your request for multi-column printing and will consider it for a future release of the product. (Version 2.1.4)

CORTIS CLARK In version 2.2 we added a page margins dialog that makes this far easier. (Version 2.3)

PHALERON This application has a long way to go before it is worth $50. Let's start with that "Multiple Choice" usually means a "multiple" choice selection, i.e. several boxes being checked simultaneously. Of course, the actual multiple choice feature is missing which is, really, the most basic of all question formats. Moreover, how about clustering questions on one page (which, of course, requires the ability to create pages in the first place), and skip logic branching, etc. It is a fair start, but far from being a real quiz tool at this time. MARK G We have always used "multiple choice" to mean pick one of these possible answers! Perhaps the difference is in the way the term is used in different areas of the world (Version 2.1.6)

OSCARG I love this software. It's very easy to create quizzes and distribute them as needed, or even provide links on our home page. The company worked with us when we found bugs in the beta version. Quizzes now load efficiently on all the machines we've tried, even really old ones. (Version 2.0.8)
