MISTERSQUID  The developer is slow to release and unresponsive to requests for support.

The current version makes some minor improvements (speed), but endo languishes in terms of features compared to NewsFire and NetNewsWire 3.

Don't waste your time with this subpar piece of shareware. If you're trying to save money, try Vienna whose developers are incredibly responsive and are on a very fast update cycle.

As much as I like Vienna, I found it sluggish on the PB I use most of the time, so I'd been looking elsewhere.

This is fast, has a great GUI and a fair price. I forgot I had a couple of weeks to trial it and paid for it within a couple of hours.

LEOOFBORG  If you find *.28 crashing on you at startup it's the new styles format.

Go to ~/Application Support/endo/styles and take out ALL the old styles you were using.

Replace these with the revised styles on the endo.dmg and all should be well.

GRIMALDELLODE  I dropped NetNewsWire and Newsfire to the trash after I installed endo last week. I first installed it when I read a review on tuaw.com . My first impressions were that endo has a great UI but that early version was sluggish. Now a month and many updates! later I gave it another try and just bought it. It's worth the few bucks!

JACKMHLIN  This is a brand-new RSS aggregator with some new ideas. The group bar is quite handy, and besides, i am always satisfied with endo's stable and fast performance. Glad to have another choice for RSS.

SHINY22  I've tried each evolving version and there's much to like. It has a very attractive UI and is a pleasant place to spend time. It has the odd crash, not unusual in early draft software, but is generally stable and feature rich - groups, smart groups etc. However, I have not switched from NetNewsWire as it's missing what is, for me, a killer feature - tabs. In NNW I can scan down the list of articles and set them to open in tabs in NNW - not a browser. On a small point, NNW has more options for setting fonts etc as you might expect from a more mature app.

That said, it's UI is very pleasant, and I'll be keeping an eye on it. Any chance of adding tabs in the future?

//IDN  It's getting better and better with each update. The author is very responsive and fixes major issues within 24 hours.

I switched from NewNewsWire and already use it as my main RSS reader and will most likely buy it as soon as the trial period expires.
