DESCRIPTION
ImageIngester Pro "ingests" images -- transfers them from your camera or card to your computer -- the right way: Two copies are made, typically to different drives; Adobe DNG Converter is optionally run on raw files so the primary copy is a DNG; files are given unique names; modifcation dates (even for DNGs) are reset to the date on the card; JPEGs are verified by reading and decompressing them; and the primary images are kept in a tree organized by date, year/date, or year/month/date (your choice).
ImageIngesterPro and ImageIngester are now a single app called ImageIngesterPro, with a Switch Mode menu item on the ImageIngesterPro menu that switches between them. If you haven't bought a license for ImageIngesterPro and entered the registration information, ImageIngesterPro runs in trial mode for up to 25 ingestions. You can switch freely between ImageIngester and ImageIngesterPro while in trial mode; ingestions count towards your trial only when you ingest in ImageIngesterPro mode.
When running in ImageIngester mode, you can try out the Metadata panel, but metadata templates are static, which means that they can't contain macros. You can try out the Multi-Camera Shoot feature, but you can't sync files or re-ingest. You can view the Database panel, but you can modify the database.
WHAT'S NEW
Version 3.2.04: - Ingestion Notes now preserved across executions (but not saved in any preset)
- Bug fix: On OS X, the preset name wasn’t shown in the title of the File Handling Details panel.
- Bug fix: The macro {@filename} appearing in metadata presets was erroneously replaced by the new file name instead of the original file name. This bug also affected {@filenameNew}.
- Bug fix: The ACR/Develop-Settings and GPS-tagging options on the main screen were not correctly saved in the File Handling preset and the File Handling change indicator was not properly turned on. Save and Save As items have been added to the File Handling preset drop down.
- Bug fix: XMP metadata in a JPEG has been repositioned within the JPEG for better compatibility with Adobe apps (e.g., Bridge, Lightroom) when Merge XMPs is checked. Does not affect raws or DNGs.
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
