Skyrocket is a screensaver that renders firework displays in 3D. Screensavers have come a long way since Pyro!, and this one renders fireworks in 3D with sound effects. Available in English and French.
WJB3WVU Great job! And as a commercial pilot, I can tell you that your simulation is very good - especially the sky and ground. I don't think I've ever seen those fireworks get quite that much altitude in real life though! Not while flying a commercial jet, at least! (Version 1.2.1)
BRENNANMEISTER Concerning JWBRENT's issue. Amoung other hardware systems I, also, run an iBook G4 and have found that
this saver operates perfectly - sound included. Like him I'm running Tiger 4.7, but at 1.42GHz. I shouldn't imagine that such a tiny difference between our operating speeds should provide any impact on the saver's performance whatsoever. That aside, this must be one of the best (free) savers going! (Version 1.2.1)
SYZZYGY Well, Skyrocket IS quite nice. I find it really esthetically pleasing to watch.....and it doesn't get tiresome. There's a pretty wide range of settings, allowing for some interesting rendering.
To the developer....well done!! I even think that this screen saver is worth charging a few shekels for, maybe $5-$8. I'd buy it. (Version 1.2.1)
