STEREO2SOFTWARE  You should be able to change file/folder to external devices or servers, but only if have right to write on them. Read-only mounted file-systems can not be modified.

SANJINKO  How is this categorized as an authoring tool?

Shouldn't it be a system utility?

"Corrects ownership and permission..." says so.

MAKAI  Compared to BatChmod, iRepair saves me to OK one application interaction on every single permission change -- BatChmod keeps asking to OK its request for donations despite I've done so long time ago. Very annoying when re-thinking deep-rooted system settings.

On the other hand, I find it much quicker in BatChmod to locate the most-often needed users. So far, I failed to get the users listing order in iRepairs' pulldown menus. Maybe add prefs to allow customized sorting orders.

A nice touch of iRepair is to display the permission settings by that 3-digit number. Suggestion: Display respective numeric ID along with every user in the pulldown menues. -- TNX!

BLAZEDRAGON555  I think that iRepair is really cool. I mean, it lets you change permissions really fast and easily, and that's really helpful. I mod my machine a lot and a lot of the times I have to go and change permissions and it takes a long time.

Even though, the name is a bit weird...

BOBSTER  Why use this utility when you can do the same thing from the Info window? I don't get it.

SZABESZ  I think the name "iRepair" is very misleading to say the least. As far as I can see this app is for setting ownership and permissions. That is cool, and I even like it more than BatchMod.

But why "iRepair"? I can easily brake the whole system with it by setting wrong owners and percussions randomly..... That act would certainly have nothing to do with "repair".

Otherwise thank you for making it free.

PLANETEN PAULTJE1  OK. I took a random folder in my home just to see what would happen. So I get to the "Share" thing. "Share"? My settings? Why? With whom?

There is no way in this universe that I will want to share settings in my home directory with anyone.

Tossed it. I'll stick with BatChmod.

STEREO2SOFTWARE  Sorry, translation was not good: You don't have to share nothing, really! 'Apply' should sound correct.

You can download a patched version: iRepair 1.0.1
