MKLENGEL  Using a Mac Pro Quad Core with a fast Internet connection I must say the app is painfully slow regarding the presentation of the maps and importing community tracks. May be caching the used maps would improve this.

The app is not very intuitive especially for me as a new user. May be its a Layer-8 problem but I'm not able to edit a track successfully.

DOKTER_MAC  Is it supporting any 'external' iPhone/iPod Touch GPS hardware, like for example from TomTom, besides build in GPS hardware from iPhones & other GPS devices?

With regards.

MWALKER80  What a great app. For my needs - keeping a 'diary' of runs, hikes, etc. - it's perfect. On a recent hike I used my iPhone 3GS with MotionX GPS app and it imported to TrailRunner perfectly. I cannot speak to some of the other features like creating routes or exporting. Great app, thanks to the developer.

SIMONM  Perhaps I'm a little biased because I expected it to behave like the mapping software I'm used to (ArcGIS). I still think it's pretty unintuitive generally though. Full marks for a nice looking Mac interface.

SIMONM  I want to like this software, and I can't be too critical because it's free, but I find it to be pretty unintuitive. I played with it a good half hour and had next to no luck importing tracks, modifying them and creating my own. I know I'm not stupid and I was pretty frustrated by the end of it. It was is also extremely taxing on the processor, cheweing up as much as 50% of my CPU just moving maps and trying to draw some simple tracks...and I have a latest MacBook Pro. Otherwise it looks like it has potential!

****.

JORY  I like this app a lot. I've been using it daily since I bought my Garmin Edge 705 and really like nearly everything about it.

The only thing I don't like is that the developer calls it "freeware" when it's really "nagware". The app is "free", but nags you to send a "donation" every time you launch it, requiring you to check a box in order to click the dismiss button. Each day you don't "donate", the time you must watch this nag increases by a second or two.

Honestly, I'd have bought this app three months ago if the developer was honest about it being nagware or shareware and seeking registrations, not "donations".

JWENRICK  It's not a "donation".

He tells you how much to "donate".

And he only takes Paypal.

MSJSTW  Love this app!!

Quick question: Does it support the new iPod nano (5G) yet? I seem to have some problems there - TrailRunner seems unable to import the workout.

But it does work if I choose the nike+ website option.

Thanks alot!

UPALMACDATE  I like this piece of software, it works well and my results can be modified and exported easily. I wish there was a player like Garmin Connect, but otherwise most excellent.

SUF  Absolutely fantastic piece of software. The Garmin Software that comes with forerunner watches pales in comparison. This is easy to use and gives great insight to workouts.

As an aside, there seems to be a few little bugs to work out but the developer seems to be working non-stop as of late. Keep it up lad, your efforts are appreciated.
