MACCY28  I found a small bug: if you're in a 'locked' folder, and you try to use NuFile, the Finder crashes. I like NuFile. It's awesome. great job. Have a wonderful wonderful life.

ALLBLUE  That's what I call a responsive developer! Do you still want the crash log for 1.9, or have you superceded that with 2.0?

1.8, as you stated, works fine by the way.

ALLBLUE  Nice idea, but why an installer for a CM? Anyway, it doesn't seem to work with 10.3.9. It appears in the menu, but when I try to open the sub-menu it crashes Finder.

TEE_TEE  It'd be nice if you send me the log file.

You can always use 1.8(no icon) though. It's the most stable one and it works with all OS X

RAMPANCY  Great utility. One problem though - on 10.4.8, with NuFile v1.9 installed the "Open With..." selection in contextual menus freezes and crashes the Finder consistently. The usual suspects (repair permissions, reset LaunchServices database) don't work at all.

SAURYA_S  I am not sure how useful it is/ Can somebody shed light on this. if it has to create a new file, surely you would like to give a preferred name. If you have to write something in the file, you will stil need to open it.

TEE_TEE  It just a time saver for me. Whenever I want to write something in TeX (ex: my Homework) I have to find, on my computer, the right template, which has shortcuts to all sorts of weird symbols I need, first and then copy it to the right location(generally I need two finder windows). I organize them by subjects. So, it's

two clicks to find + three seconds for my eyes searching the right template in the finder+ 2 seconds to do alt+drag

VS

1 second to right click + two seconds to find it on the list and clicking it

TEE_TEE  Here is another user of NuFile I heard from graphics designers.

As you may know, when you create a new file in adobe photoshop or indesign, you got a huge multi-option windows. It's great to be able to customize it. Yet, the problem is 80% of the time we choose the same option.

So, why not, instead of going through those dialog all the time and choosing the same 20 options, just right click on where you want to save it and select the template?

XSMURFSTER  Well I answered the poll with answer one so I figured I owed you this... This CM is probably one of my favorite feature in Path Finder and CyberDuck. Why Apple didn't include it in the Finder is beyond me. Thanx for giving birth to this project. I sure hope my gratitude, and everyone else's, will be enough to tell you you should go on with this project, sometimes there are things money can't buy... that's why there are freewares (donationwares included).
