KRYSIA  It's gorgeous solitaire software with multiple price options: For example, Solavant offers a student price of $17 for this beautiful software.

I think it's fabulous.

JAC14  Solavant Solitaire is the game I play most often and the game I like the best. The number and levels of games continue interest and challenge. The graphics are simple and clear. Very good program.

STEVE3W  Initially disappointed when getting my first mac - where's spider/freecell? Realised had to look to the web and there are lots out there. Solavant was fourth download and by far the best. It has the look and feel i would expect from a mac (some out there are still windows 3.11) and to be honest I'd rather apple approach these guys to ship this free instead of the over animated backgammon/draughts/othello that you do get. The design of the picture cards and the dock bar logo are both simple and sexy and simple additions such as the rules drawer and card size make this product great.

On the games. I am still to play them all and to be honest I am starting to find one or two favourites - even became the first to synch a 'hardest' game. There's also a feel that you are joining a community (something I have noticed with the mac generally) and that the product will not stand still and continually improve.

Finally the 2 games that I haven't bothered to play are freecell and spider.

AAH  I tried Solavant almost immediately after it was first announed -- I'd been looking for a non-cartoony, decent looking and decent playing solitaire game.

At the time, I was less than impressed -- after my first game, I ran into a crash. Mailed the developer, let him know what happened, told him I'd try again in a few months.

Well, I came back, and I'm glad I did. This is easily the best solitaire collection I've found for the Mac; the rules are well presented, the layout is nice, the depth of games is staggering, and the lack of "cheats" is refreshing. I can't recommend this highly enough -- the developer has regularly updated the program. and is very fast with responses to suggestions.

TRIGGER1976  Ever since moving from Windows over to OS X many moons ago, the only thing I have missed has been the card games Solitare and Freecell. Finally I have found the solution, Solavant.

It is visually excellent, has a multitude of game variants and is simple to use. I cannot rate this product any higher, top marks!

ANTHONY SIGALAS  At long last! An elegant mac solitaire collection game! I downloaded the demo and I was hooked. This is what card games should look on a mac. I have a fixation for card games, but so far with the exception of the freeware FreeCell, all the others was just plain ugly! With Solavant you get 137 solitaire games - no way you could get bored. What's more one of the features of this game is that it is hard - no hints or workarounds of any kind. You vs. the cards.

As I said before the graphics are excellent and I encourage any fan of card games to download the demo and give it a try. The demo gives you 100 deals - more than enough to test drive it. I bought it after 16 deals!

If I had to give a negative, that would be the absence of a pause button, especially handy when at work, but a workaround is to quit and save the game.
