DESCRIPTION

MemoryMiner is the award-winning Digital Storytelling application used to discover the threads connecting peoples’ lives across time and place. It lets you zero in on the stories depicted in your photos by linking them to each other based on people, places and time. Using simple drag and drop actions, you specify who is in the picture, where the picture was taken and when.

Drag and drop audio, video, URL's, etc as attachments onto your photos to add depth and context. Each photo thus becomes a frame in an endless storyboard which can be browsed by periods in a person’s life, where people overlap, by place, by time, or any combination. Create self-contained library documents to share with other MemoryMiner users, or export beautiful interactive web sites which can be automatically uploaded to your .Mac account or other web server. MemoryMiner also works beautifully with PulpMotion in order to create stunning video presentations suitable for web, DVD or iPod/iPhone.

    PATRICK.DK  FYI: I actually registered to post this...

    I really think this app has a great future ahead of it. But before i really just want to throw myself at it, and dedicate my dear time and go total immersion some things are missing.

    As many others i put forth a huge amount of trust in Apple .inc to store my digital memories. This app clearly shows the shortcommings of iPhoto.

    To tell the story of my llife.

    Therefore I really wish, that this was for adding data to my "iPhoto's" (to be original;-). In the data-integrety sense that the data be added as metadata to the files, or entries in the iphoto library file. This I would trust.

    Also I would love to be able to access my story directly from iPhoto in a fullscreen kind of universe. And being able to add anekdotes or other data as I go along. Because once you get going at it, it's really quite entertaining.

    But before all this happens, 49$ to put my "life" in unknown hands is not something I would do.   (Version 1.70)

    WJB3WVU  Downloaded the demo a few days ago and the price was $29. After evaluating it I decided that it was worth the price and tried to purchase, but now it's $49. That's too much. This program is a good idea, but it needs work. It is NOT intuitive, but rather difficult to understand.   (Version 1.52)

    MACFLECKNO  The demo crashed twice. Sorting photos into narrative order didn't work--and was certainly not intuitive.  (Version 1.52)

    FACTORYJOE  I'd like to contradict and raise the rating of this app... I actually find it very innovative and great way to collect data and photos and associate them with people.
