ROBOTANK  This app looks like it could be very useful, but the demo is so limited that it's impossible to evaluate it properly--most document conversion types are disabled, including all the ones I'm interested in. I hope the developer will consider changing the parameters of the demo version--perhaps allowing all features of the program to be used a limited number of times, or something similar that actually allows evaluation of the app's features.

BILLCREATE  This is really an all around great app. It has a streamlined and easy to use interface and is super fast. If you find yourself converting file formats on a regular basis then it would definitely be worth your while to try out this app. Dev support is fast and friendly too!

JFM  Is it still iFille, or is it now renamed Alien Converter? It looks so, but it is not very clear.

Details about upgrade for existing users would be appreciated. Is there anything new, except for the name? In "What is new", there is only info on version 2.1, while this is annouced as version 3, assumedly a major upgrade. Or is it only a name upgrade?

    Thank you for clarifying!

    ALIENCRYPT  Hi, thanks for posting...

    1. Yes the name has been finally changed to ( AlienConverter)as suggested by many users and testers ( the iFILLE was unfortunate, I know, as the additional "L" had to be added because Sony Corp has the rights to "iFILE, ). Why doesn't it appear on MacUpdate? I think because if they change the listing name, then all comments and criticism would be erased...I am not sure.

    2. The same applies for the updates done to this version 3.0, it also didn't appear, again I must have done something wrong :)

    3. there have been modifications to the engine , added 17 additional voices when converting various document types into audio, so now there are a total of 23 sounds/voices. There has been a complete rewrite of the control interface,as users requested it, because not all use audio or images...etc. Also someone suggested adding an effect or two when converting files.

I hope this answers you question, sorry for the delay in answering, i couldn't answer from the developers-login as your comment doesn't appear, so i had to register again.

JFM  Thank you very much for providing useful and precise information. If it is possible, maybe you should try to add the name AlienConverter to iFille on MacUpdate - I guess it must be possible, I have seen other products changing names.

And congratulations for having an excellent policy of providing free upgrades to users: this will definitely encourage me ot consider other products of yours!

ZANGIEF  iFILLE is pretty much the only conversion app you'll ever need. It even converts web archives!

Clean and extremely fast conversions across several file formats are what make this app excellent. The developer's support is very prompt and helpful. Absolutely amazing!

SCHMELDING  iWould like to see the developer come up with a whole new name. iMean this very kindly, because iThink this app is awesome, but whole "i" app name has been beat to death. It's okay for Apple, but otherwise, drop the "i."

How something more kitschy like, "Convert-o-matic" or something like "FileGrinder" or "File Regurgitator" or something else? The name "iFille" doesn't mean anything to me, except remind me of a Philly cheesesteak. Mmm...cheesesteak.

    Just my iFriendly 2ยข. :)

G8TGOD  I'm having trouble converting from Word 5.1 format to Word X format. Is this supported? It appears to be, as the file seems to convert (the program appears to process the file), but there is no new file produced, and the old file is not overwritten.

Is the program able to distinguish between these two versions of Word? It would be a great boon to be able to convert all of my old 5.1 files to either the new format or RTF.
