MEMPHISBIRD  I see that one of the features of Goldfish 3 Pro is "Personal e-mail support from Fishbeam." Really? I hope so, for the developer's sake, because, as stated below, support has been nonexistent for ... well, forever. I have used this app since Version 1 and never got a response to an email, and the forum had a lot of people asking questions, but no one getting answers. That's too bad, too, because this is a good app with great potential. Kind of a big jump from 2.3 to a paid upgrade for 3.0, though, especially when there have been hardly any updates. Oh, well [sigh], off I go to give 3.0 a whirl.

BDKENNEDY1  After a year it seems the developer has come around to redesign his web site and support forums. Unfortunately, all previous comments were erased with the old support forums.

I can't, in my right mind pay for an upgrade to 3.0 knowing the developers past history with no support.

BDKENNEDY1  No support will be Goldfish's downfall.

I've used Freeway Pro and Rapidweaver and Goldfish Pro is very promising. There's not much I haven't been able to do with it. I've been able to produce a professional looking web site with custom HTML and it's the closest to a WYSIWYG program I've used yet. Think of iWeb the way it's supposed to be.

Goldfish will not succeed because there is absolutely no support from the developer who has apparently written this software as a hobby. The help is minimal and the user forums are a ghost town of previous users that have given up on getting any help or updates.

This developer needs to sell this program to a company that will support and update it. I do not recommend buying it until this developer decides he wants to take this project seriously.

KAUFI  Can't recommend it anymore. The support is completely ignorant. Which is particularly bad, because it's much needed. The latest version turned out to be heavily buggy.

I'm disappointed.

KAUFI  First of all: Very good app!

But: When I registered a year or so ago, the support was also very responsive. This seems to have wanded. Since X-mas I've been trying to contact the developer by mail for a regsitration issue, but there's no reaction at all. I need a quick reply, though. This is why I'm trying this channel: Please, developer, respond!

SBOB  Goldfish sits between iWeb/Rapidweaver/Sandvox and the text based html editors. It handsomely gives you templates, but they are very easy to edit, it has drag and drop text areas, menues and boxes, but once again, very easy to change. And it publishes your site out as css. I made a website for a client in one day, compared to the week I spent futzing about with iWeb's handholding methodology.
