XENOPHILE  Abandonware. No updates for over a year, latest version incompatible with Leopard. It's unfortunate, because SafariPlus was the best cookie manager I've ever used; it was simple, unobtrusive, powerful, and its feature set perfectly matched the gaping hole in Safari's functionality. I just upgraded to Leopard but it feels like a horrible downgrade whenever I use Safari.

I would gladly pay for a Leopard version of SafariPlus, or anything comparable. What I would really like is for Apple to incorporate SafariPlus's functionality into Safari, since it is the sort of "advanced" feature that every web browser should have.

TOM46  Have you tried OmniWeb? I switched to OmniWeb from Safari primarily because of its great cookie handling. I agree with you that Apple is missing the boat by not incorporating this feature into Safari.

AIKOUSHA  I'm not certain, but I believe this crashes Safari on any web page with flash (and possibly moving gifs), as it crashes all the time, except on a blank page, or on animesuki.

As it does this just as it starts drawing the page and then locks everything up for about a minute while it actually finishes crashing-out, I didn't feel like spending all night troubleshooting it (needless to say I got it to crash about 10 times, before I gave up).

This makes it worthless, completely. You can't even really use the cookie part, since cookies are useless if you can't even get to the site to get one.

If it eventually ends up working properly it'd be indispensable, and you can't beat free.

What I don't understand is that Flash blocking or disabling should have been built into Safari years ago, as should minor cookie management similar to this program. Was Macromedia paying off Apple, or are the Safari developers all a bunch of ƒµ¢kíñq idiots that don't have real-world experience browsing the web?

If it weren't for a few sites that require it for what I need (and that's countable on one hand, mind you), I'd remove flash completely from my Mac, treating it just like the old AOL virii that came pre-installed.

UETLI  Safari (3.1.1) crashes all the time with SafariPlus 1.5.1 installed (10.4.11).

So it is completely useless.

CYANN  Still waiting for the Leopard Update.

It seems to me it's "under investigation" for too much time… What are you waiting for???

Sorry for my impatience.

EFBUZZARD  My biggest regret in switching to Leopard is the loss of this utility. If you are running Tiger, don't hesitate to use it. I can't understand why these features aren't part of OSX, and I hope the developer will make this Leopard compatible ASAP!

PROFINITE  I can hardly wait for a Leopard-compatible release. I must have it to control cookies. There is no other utility that does the job better.

FEMIGH  BY FAR the best cookie manager for Safari (pre-Leopard) - painless, automatic filtering, easy-to-set preferences, then hands-off. Apple should pay to incorporate into Safari 3. But not ready for Leopard. When SP becomes compatible with Leopard, I will pay more than the suggested donation.

TOM46  THis is such a great utility. It's a shame the developer doesn't seem interested in updating it for Leopard.

NEANISKOS  v1.6a1 crashes when removing all non-favorites

When clicking on the button "remove all non-favorites" in Safariplus v.1.6a1 (on a G4 iBook), the first time nothing happens, the second time Safari 3.0.4 crashes invariably. Apart from that, this beta works fine.
