DESCRIPTION

Proxy On/Off shows current proxies status (SOCKS, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, Gopher) and allows you to quickly turn them and on/off.

NOTE: Do not try to verify that widget works by looking into System Preferences. If you turn proxy on/off from the widget, you will not see the change in System Preferences. If you want to make sure that change did occur, use this command:

echo show State:/Network/Global/Proxies | scutil

NOTE: Changing proxy settings consider to be "privileged" operation. So you will be asked for the password once you have installed the widget.

    ****.

NADEEMF  Works well enough but I have 1 big feature request.

I use open an ssh tunnel to a proxy on my work's intranet when working from home, so I only want to turn on the proxy on certain occasions. Unfortunately at every startup, 'Proxy On/Off 1.0' defaults to On so when I restart the computer all http requests fail until I either start my ssh tunnel, or goto the Widget and turn off the Proxy.

I would like the proxy setting to maintain its state across restarts or to be able to specify it to be off by default.
