IGREG I do not know if I want to use this anymore. I am afraid of the new setup window, it looks like it wants to take control of files on my computer. I decided not to complete the setup and may delete it entirely. (Version 4.17)
CASTLE ROSE You think it's a trojan horse after you've already used FW for how long? OMG
BTW it works fine for me. (Version 4.17)

HOLYPOLY The chat window takes years to load with this new version, and the chat option can't be turned off - it loads even if the corresponding box in "Community Chat..." is unchecked. Deleting the .plist file doesn't help. Version 4.13.1.6 didn't have this problem. (Version 4.13.1.7)
CASTLE ROSE I don't know what computer your running FW on but it works fine for my w/o any problems. I'm using an old G4 Cube and chat opens fine, and closes correctly. Maybe the problem is that you don't have your ports and firewall setup correctly. What ever your problems are it's not the programs fault. FrostWire heeps getting better and better for me. Keep up the good work guys! (Version 4.17)

ROCKSOUNDER The best place I have found for reviews of Macintosh software. I've been relying on "descriptions." rather than reviews, and on reviews published in magazines. It is refreshing the reactions of those who actively use the programs. (Version 4.13.1.7)
ANF2RES Although the requires for FrostWire 4.13.1.7 are stated as OS 10.3 and Java 1.4 and later, this version will not load on my computer running OS 10.3.9 and Jave 1.4.2.
WONDERING It looks like it needs Java 1.5.x. (from Frostwire website, and MU has updated their reqs to show that now.)
I am not sure if Apple has issued a Java 1.5.x for Panther, I know they have issued it for Tiger.
I have always been a little mystified by the way Apple or Java or both come up with version ID: (from Apple site:) : "Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Release 3 includes version 1.5.0_05 and improves functionality of J2SE 5.0 on Mac OS X v 10.4 Tiger 10.4.2 and later. This release does not replace the existing installation of J2SE 1.4.2." (Version 4.13.1.7)
