HILLD  I bought this app a couple of months ago, and like it.

My one serious complaint is that I have found it impossible to get any help from the developer/distributor. Specifically, I have asked twice why Silkypix insists on identifying my raw (DNG) files as JPG files. It might well be that this is something I should know about but don't out of pig ignorance. But it would be nice to know. And in any event, a reply to someone who has stumped up the bucks for the apps would be a nice courtesy. Maybe you have to pay more for courtesy.

PLANET  I use the free Silkypix version 2 and 3 with Canon 5D and D60 files and even this light version of the app is simply awesome. Since I discovered Silkypix I'm not enviously anymore about my friends that using Rawshooter.

The temporary files stored in the picture folders are less than huge the Capture One Le ones, the workflow is more linearly, the colors are also very nice. With the Holga-effect preset "toy camera" they are even showing quite a sense of humor.

The Silkypix licence model is remarkable fair as well, you can use the free version WITHOUT limits like watermarks, eSellerate, online registration and so on, until you find the workflow convincing or not. If yes, you can go for the whole thing. Nice, ha? Thus I'll prefer this solution instead of upgrading my Capture One LE licence.

Highly recommended!

Thank you.

ZX81  Nobody seems to care about this app. I've been using the free version for some time and, although it's limited, I get very good results.

TVALLEAU  If you use a Fuji S3 Pro for raw shooting, this is really the only sofware you'd want to 'develop' those photos. The difference between Aperture/Photoshop/Bibble/Lightroom and SilkyPix is just stunning! The image detail is probably twice as high with SilkyPix when using the extended range feature of the camera. This software produces a 12 megapixel image that will leave you wondering what the others did wrong.

AAFUSS  Free version's interface is mainly in Japanese with some dialogs having a bit of English text.

It is easy enough to use even without knowing the Japanese language.

Just use the keybord shortcuts displayed in each menu.

Using it with. RAF files from a E550 produces excellent results. '

The interface takes some time to get used to.

Also I really like the range of adjustments on offer-such as a useful exposure bias control
