DESCRIPTION
You and the other butterflies have had enough of the fireflies prancing around on your turf. Togther you figure if you can take out the queen the rest of the fireflies will dry up from your area.

Captain has specially assigned you a special net that will catch and remove the fireflies if you get them in there. The goal is to catch the queen, but she’s hard to find, hiding and only glowing out of the shadows on occasion. Our intelligence says the more of her children you capture (the orange ones) the more likely she is to show herself. Take out however many you need to discover and capture her.

Beware though! You don’t want to lose any of our own, so avoid catching the other butterflies at all costs.

    ***..

ANONYMOUS  The video card requirements are exaggerated. It works just fine on my ATI Rage 128 Pro equipped 500 MHz G4 under 10.4.2 (maybe the animation is a little choppy, but I have no basis for comparison). Don't let the listed system requirements stop you from trying this if you want to.

As for the contents of the game, well it's entertaining enough fo what it is-- a simple, nearly non-violent diversion. It could stand some enhancements but functionally it's all there.

What is a bit jarring is the immediate game start right after setting the monitor resolution for full screen play.

ANONYMOUS  My kids are thoroughly enjoying the game. If adult games are desired, there are many, many that you can play for hours. But children need cute games like this. Thank you for thinking of the children.

    ****.

MIKURO  Very simple, and fun enough. I'd like to see this game developed further, because as of now it has very little replay value. I played it for a minute or so, and I'm pretty much done.

There's only one stage, and the only challenges are to A) Not catch your friends, and B) Improve your time. After doing it in 10 seconds without hurting any butterflies, I don't feel like there's much more for me to do.

The game plays well, though, and the graphics are smooth. Worth checking out, even if it's only for a minute or two of amusement.

Hopefully future versions will have some sense of progression with multiple stages and some more elements (like...I dunno, bees or something).

Works fine for me on Tiger.
