LEIFH  You must have all the parts of the archive to be able to do anything useful with it.

Once you have all 5, just open the 1st (the 001 file) with Ez7z.

APPLEJUNKIE  How does this app work? I've downloaded 2 of 5 volumes of a movie from MovieBerry. The MovieBerry site indicates that the content is compressed by 7x archiver. So I downloaded Ez7z in hopes of decompressing the 5 files. When I try to Expand the first file, named "movie_name.part.dvd.7z.001", I receive the following:

7-Zip (A) 9.04 beta Copyright (c) 1999-2009 Igor Pavlov 2009-05-30

p7zip Version 9.04 (locale=utf8,Utf16=on,HugeFiles=on,2 CPUs)

Processing archive: /Users/Username/Downloads/movie_name.part.dvd.7z.001

Error: E_FAIL

Also, if/when I finally get past the E_FAIL message, any suggestions about how I put the 5 files together to make a singe movie?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

MACUPDATE ADMIN  Clear your browser's cache or use another browser and try downloading the file again. I just now downloaded the file using the link here at MacUpdate via Safari. It is version 1.00 beyond any and all doubt.

LEIFH  I made a typo in the description - only extracting rar archives is supported, not creating them.

FORMICA  This version seems like a nice app, but instead of having a text field where we can drag and drop a file AND can enter the file path (a.k.a. location) of a file to compress -- which is a time consuming way to do it, it would be better to have a text field where we can drag and drop a file and a BUTTON that would bring up an open dialog to find the file to compress, OR ALL 3. Otherwise, I like it and look forward to using it.

It's useful to be have the ability to type in the location if you need to work with hidden files. I agree the image drop was redundant so I removed it. Also you can go to file->open file or open folder. They also have keyboard shortcuts.
