MSWFUJOWDFFYC  The update function doesn't appear to work in .65 and the dialog displayed when you can't connect says "you're internet is down" when it should be "your internet is down."

I suppose I could have sent this via e-mail to check if my internet was down, though. ;)

Beyond that, I'm pretty happy with the application.

I agree with the previous comment of writing the last used compression to the plist, and making it default to the same folder that the files/folder the user is trying to 7zip is in.

Another suggestion would be to make the file name blank by default or make it the folder being 7zipped.

Anyway, thanks for the great app!

BEAMY  EZ 7z is a great 7zip tool.

It would be nice if it would automatically save the 7zip archive (next to the file which you want to compress or to a standard location which the user can choose eg Desktop).

It would also be nice if it would remember the compression level which you used.

:-)

KHIEBERT  Thank you for this quick and easy program! I proved to myself that the 7za program bundled inside the app is able to create encrypted archives (e.g. EZ 7z.app/Contents/Resources/7za a -pPASSWORD path/archive.7z path/file_to_encrypt) -- will that feature be added to a future release? Thanks again!

LEIFH  Ah thanks. I didn't quite understand how to use passwords with it. Let's just hope I can pass it from the GUI to 7za, then I'll put it into the next version.

Every time I open a terminal window 7za tests the integrity of a compressed file. Any hints?

Thanks.

LEIFH  I forgot to mention, in version 0.5, you can now change the level of compression but I took out the password function because it wasn't working. I might bring it back later if I can figure out what went wrong.

****.

JEDIK  It seems that the program has problems with non-US systems. Didn't work here. Also, where is the password feature that appears in the screen shot?

LEIFH  What happened when you tried to use it? And about the password function, I took it out because it wasn't working.

JEDIK  It does not create the compressed file, just says:

AppleScript Error:

NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4 (1)

The path to the file has no spaces or unusual characters, as the compressed file wthat would be created.
