DESCRIPTION

DynDNS Updater is a Mac OS X client for use with the free and paid DNS services provided by DynDNS

Provides support for updating hosts within the free services Dynamic DNs and Static DNS as well as the paid service Custom DNS. Supports updates over HTTPS and provides an auto-setup feature.

WHAT'S NEW

Version 2.3:

Fixed bug where a host or account could be set inactive if an error occurred while updating hosts.
Fixed a bug where a host could potentially not update if the IP changed while the daemon isn't running.
Fixed the Check IP update URL.
A few minor text changes to make error messages more descriptive.
Made the interface IP checking code a bit more robust.

	Jun 11 2006	GFIUMARA Under "Edit Host," change the Interface value from Default to External. My guess is you are most likely behind a Cable/DSL modem/router and are not having the modem forward it's IP to your machine. (Version 1.2)		0

	Aug 17 2005	ANONYMOUS It works under Tiger but with this and with DNSUpdate I get some error about not being able to start up the daemon and I have to do it manually through DynDNSUpdater and enter my password. It was fine in 10.3.9 so I think both are broken. (Version 1.1.2)		0

	Aug 5 2005	MORGAN mmmm its NOT working properly to me.... at boot time, do not refresh new IP with DynDns... old one -DNSUpdate 2.7- works until today.. like a charm. ( For testing porpouses, i remove old "DNSUpdate 2.7" and install a fresh copy of DynDNS ...i try to reinstall this new version, desintalling deamon, erasing ALL files, rebooting... ALL! ... and problems persist!) eMac, 1.25, 10.4.2, 512 RAM (Version 1.1.2)		0

	Aug 5 2005	ANONYMOUS Excellent - this is Julien's old DNSUpdate program (which broke under 10.4), now supported by DynDNS. Obviously, it now only connects to DynDNS, but it can automatically download all of your host data from their servers. (Version 1.1.2)		0

I'm still using Julien's old DNSUpdate v2.7 and it works perfectly fine with Tiger 10.4.2. I have no idea what you mean with "broke under 10.4".

I really don't know why I should replace this fine working tool with a new one that has no rep and offers no benefit.
